Well made tent and easy to set up. Great value.

I purchased this tent so my kids and I can go on camping hikes. So far I really like this tent. It is relatively light; great for long hikes. There is plenty of room for my two younger kids and me with our gear or just my wife and I and gear. I just got it but, it seems very well made especially for the price. Setting up for the first time was very easy and took less than 5 minutes with my 9 year old and I. I love the design of the single aluminium pole for the entire tent. It rained on us our first night and we stayed completely dry. Time will tell on the durability of the tent but, so far I see no reason why it would last my family and I many years of use. If your looking for a great tent for hiking or camping with two to three people and you don’t want to spend hundreds of dollars more I highly recommend this tent for you. Read more

Easy set-up, works great

Used this about a dozen times now, mostly in the summer at 95°F days and 60° nights which are great with the rainfly off but can get a bit hot with it on. Ive had no issues with leaks, tears, or zippers. I usually sleep in it solo with a large cot and have plenty of room, a twin airmatress fits perfectly but my queen bulges the sides a little bit. I slept in it a few during freezing winter temperatures as well without issues. Set-up is very easy, including snapping on the rainfly. The wind resistance is pretty good too if properly staked and tied. I typically camp in very sandy areas and use different stakes (made for sand) as the included stakes flare not designed not hold in sand or very loose earth. Read more

2 people sleep easy, good quality!

The size is accurate and what we needed. The tent has a surprising amount of headroom and assembly was simple and quick! It also fits two full-sized cots very easily, with room to spare. Add that onto a lightweight design thats easy to pack away, its a good value for money! Read more

For the price, this is a good buy.

For the price, this is a great tent. I put this tent to the test on very muddy ground mixed with snow in sub freezing temperatures. I woke up a few times due to cold wind (around 10 degrees F with wind chill) flowing up under the rain fly and into the tent. Pros: -Set up is easy. -It can withstand heavy rain (if you set it up correctly using at least 8 stakes, 4 on the corners, 4 for the rain fly). -It's roomy for one person, doable for two if you store your gear in the vestibules. Cons: -The stretchy chords are going to wear out quickly (at that point I will use paracord to stake it down) -If the ground is moist, some condensation will seep through even with a footprint underneath. -Cold wind tends to blow up underneath the rain fly and into the tent at night, sucking out a lot of the heat in colder climates. - I HAVE NOT TESTED IT but, just from experience with four season gear, I can tell this thing won't be able to handle a snow load. I think heavy snowfall and wind will collapse it pretty easy. -It's slightly heavier than expected, mostly due to the weight of the stakes and the poles. The tent itself and the rain fly are ultra light. Read more

easy to setup

For a tent, the setup is easy and intuitive. Weight is low, so it can be carried to campsites far easier than large ones. Inside is fairly roomy, although if we're factoring in i bought this for just me, 3 person tent is plenty. The Rainfly juts out enough from the tent to have a staging area for shoes and such. Breathable fabric, but the rainfly also traps enough that you can use it down to 40°F if you have a heavy enough sleeping bag. My only complaint, although it may come with practice, is that getting it back in the bag after use is mostly a hassle from the rainfly. It is not easily foldable. The tent was easy. Read more

Very nice for Backpacking

We bought this to replace a Wallmart special. My son and I were preparing to hike the Cabinet Mountains in Montana and we needed a new small-ish tent. I am frugal and tend to gravitate toward budget friendly items. Queue this wonderful tent. This tent might not be the lightest nor the most durable in construction but it is perfect for our needs. At just over 5 pounds we were able to split the weight between our back packs to share the load and it was not a burden. Our third night at Lower Cedar Lake gave us gusts probably around 40-50mph and a downpour that lasted about 2.5 hours. We stayed comfortable and dry! Just to note that a single camper can put their gear inside but two people better be prepared to leave their packs out of the tent. The vestibule/rainfly is great for shoes/boots but little else. Things we really liked about it: Comfortable length for a 6ft tall person with a few extra inches at head and foot. Just wide enough for 2 people. You could possibly sardine 3 people in there together but you would not be comfortable. Loved the built in corner pockets (4 of them for phone, nose rags, chapstick and the like) and the center hanging pouch for other bulkier loose items (flashlight, keys, etc). The bottom of the tent is a tarp type material that is extended up the sides. No leaks or pools when it rained! Rainfly is a FULL rainfly! Not a drop of water touched the main tent. Things that could be improved (maybe): There is a center hook in the top of the tent for hanging a small lantern/light however if you put the pouch up you can't really use it. The tarp/bottom of the tent seems kinda thin. I dont know how durable it is. I suspect of you have a rock or stick or growth under the tent you might end up with a hole in the bottom. The rainfly could possibly be made with a darkening material? With the sun out it got quite bright/warm inside. Luckily it has good airflow. Overall a very nice budget tent that worked amazing.
