I really wanted to like this Foundation Stick Beauty Balm, but unfortunately it didn’t work for me. The shade (#04) matched my skin tone nicely, so color-wise, it was a hit. However, the formula felt overly greasy and heavy on my face, which made it uncomfortable to wear for long periods. It didn’t do a good job of covering imperfections, and layering it didn’t help much - it just stayed slippery and didn’t blend naturally. This foundation stick didn’t work well for me. The texture feels quite heavy on the skin and doesn’t have the lightweight, natural finish I was hoping for. Instead, it feels greasy after a few hours, especially around my T-zone. Another issue is that it transfers very easily. The idea of this makeup seems like a great. In practice, just the opposite. It applied smoothly, but quickly became very greasy. The longer I wear it the more greasy and "cakey" it looks. It sits on the skin in a strange, unflattering way. I also found that it transferred onto my clothing, leaving a stain. Second, the color itself goes on as a strange orangey hue. After about 30 minutes it turns even more "orangey" on my skin. It looks extremely bad on my complexion. That's unusual for me. I had a challenge when I was ordering it because instead of putting the colors in order of shade from either light to dark or dark to light they intermix them and only use numbers. I kept looking for a DESCRIPTION of the color itself and the undertones. Normally I NEVER have a challenge ordering shades for my skin because I can always order any of the light shades, whether they are cool, warm or neutral. Typically all of those work for me. With this I tried to find what I guessed would be something in that range, #4. Instead it turned out to have a weird orangey look I would never wear. This is a hard pass for me. I took this tint stick with me last week when I traveled to a conference and it was very convenient to use it because it doesn't mess up my hands, it covers all the imperfections I have on my face and it is very light weight and small; for traveling very useful! This tint will easily dirty your fingers and clothes if you're not careful. Apart from that, everything down to the color is just as described. The tube is small enough to fit in a purse and the tint holds for hours if you have a good setting spray (I use the urban decay brand, which makes everything hold till I get home from work). The tint doesn’t have any particular smell and has not badly reacted wirh my skin (no hives, no pimples...). So far I am pretty satisfied with the product. Read more
