I had some other all orange colored brand that didnt have any suction after just one use. This looks like it will hold up. Tried it on water right now as wasnt ready for the trans fluid that I had needed to take out.. before I ordered and nothing worked. This didnt drip too much when you draw up fluid and then stop pulling the handle. Another brand let the fluid in it all back out again if you didnt keep pulling on the top shringe handle and if you had got to top then it was all running back out. Not supposed to do that if a good seal... so the two rubber ring seals on the shringe are holding good. Good product :) Read more

After reviewing virtually all the fluid extractors, this one was my top choice. And I have not been disappointed. Solid, high-quality construction, extra O-rings, multiple hoses, and fittings, and an overall solid feel make this a good purchase. After using it to fill my brake fluid master cylinder in an awkward location, I am happy to report that it worked flawlessly, stores well and the quick release tube fitting is a real plus. By the way, I left the clear vinyl hose attached and plugged the end with one of the rigid hose caps so that it is ready to go the next time I want to use it. I am 100% happy with this purchase, the price point was very attractive and the high reputational reviews are confirmed. Wish it held a little more fluid but overall good product. It helped me quite a bit when working on my cooling system on my truck. Made it much less messy overall being able to draw the liquid out.Easy to use and again did great job. Great for all fluids you may need to extract while doing a repair. I love it when a product is easy to use and actually works. This fluid extractor took me 2 minutes to figure out and assemble. And another 2 minutes to syphon extra oil out of my snowblower engine. Worked great and cleanup was easy. Not a drop of oil on my garage floor. When I was done I filled a plastic bottle with hot water and pumped it in to flush out the tiny amount of oil that was left inside the container/cylinder. So clean up was easy. This lil syringe rocks! I used it for Transmission (dip stick), brake fluid, coolant tank, steering fluid, and will use for oil. For Honda Ody and Kia Optima. This works better with a much longer plastic straw. The given straw to use for transmission or lower situated dipsticks is not nearly long enough...Happened to have one from larger capacity fluid remover and it cut my time for both removing & replacing in half! Did not have to reach down to line up w transmission dipstick into semi hot bay. This can remove and push fluid back in. Don't have a ton of hand strength, used my thigh for support. The syringe with the pressure of suction coming in or out of small diameter tubes might be a challenge for some.. and It takes some time to suck out 2-3.5 qts, multiple disconnect/reconnect..hoping they make larger syringes. For transmission and oil next removal will use my metal topsider. Due to larger capacity & ease of use. This is great for those smaller holding tanks. After each use i flush the tubing and syringe out w water. Inside syringe near connection point tends to hold some fluid thats hard to fully drain out. Letting it drip out seems to help. Worked great for my Power Steering drain and fill. Enough capacity to empty the vessel after each session. I did 6 drain, cycle, fill, drains. Plunger was a little sticky at first and I learned not to push it all the way in to the end where is wanted to hang up. It would work great on differentials or transfer cases too when refilling them.
