I got one of these bags about 10 years ago at an Arny Surplus Store. I keep it in the car as a roadside kit. A buddy of mine saw it in our car and was commenting about it. I did some checking and found it on-line. It was the same exact one I have. I ordered it and sent it to him. The canvass body is strong, but flexible. It has enough flex where it can hold lots of items. The two external pockets hold smaller items. The two snaps require some effort to open the flaps. This gives you a sense of security of not losing whatever you store in it. The brass zipper is very durable and does a great job of keeping the bag closed. Just like I remember, right down to the crappy brass zipper. The rest is cotton canvas with cotton webbing handles. 2 external pockets extend the length of the bag, 1 per side and secured with 2 snaps each. Internally you’ll find a row of webbing loops on each side for organizing small tools and parts, like pins and bolts… or cables and dongles. If you ever served in the US military, you definitely used a “Tool Bag, Mechanic, Small” at some point, if not daily. I just needed a couple of bags to carry loose accessories for audio and stabilized video. Go with what you know, so they say. It’s not waterproof, weatherproof, dustproof or idiotproof.
