What a wonderfully artful fixture!
This free-standing tub-filler has the look we like. It is well made from quality materials with some very intriguing details. The finish is subtly shiny while holding true to the term matte. The handle and the knob that switches between the wand and the spout are both smaller than most, minimizing the risk of snagging on towels or clothes. The action on the main mixing lever is just stiff enough to let you know it'll hold the temperature while being easy to manipulate. The knob that switches between the wand and the spout has a good spring and moves out with the appropriate amount of resistance. The water pressure holds it in place and it can be more easily turned off by shutting off the mixing handle. It can of course also be turned off with a push, but is not likely to happen accidentally or if the temperature/pressure is adjusted. The wand has a length of attractive matching braided metal hose that is almost 5 feet long. it has a minimalistic, elegant design that blends in perfectly with the rests of the fixture. The spray pattern is wide enough to wash with and still able to be useful in cleaning the tub and pets with sufficient pressure. Most free-standing tub plumbing fixtures are much more obvious, showing way to much shiny plumbing for our taste. This one is not only elegant, but robust. Note that the base is bolted down with a three-point bracket that passes the hot and cold line thru it to the subfloor below. I believe that this would be more than sufficient to support my weight in a slippery moment. As of this writing I am of the opinion that this kit is an exceptional value. I would whole-heartedly recommend it to anyone who shares my design aesthetic. Read more
