From Sally Beauty’s new line, so I had no reviews to go on and gave this a chance. I don’t normally use texturizing sprays as I haven't found any that work for me. This time I looked for a non-aerosol spray (for environmental reasons) that is salt-free and has clean ingredients. I also considered texturizing hair sprays but didn't find much meeting my criteria and assumed it might get too crunchy. So, I had to give this one a chance and what a surprise! I wanted to give my straight, lob, Asian hair some texture, volume, and hold after I create waves by braiding/twisting overnight (also using bit of styling cream). After my waves died a bit during the day, I remembered I had this new bottle to try out. I gave my hair several spritzes (including flipping my hair over), trying to spray evenly and lightly. I then scrunched my hair and waves were visible again! Instead of being frizzy and almost flat, they were defined and had slight grit and hold, which allowed the scrunching to produce volume too. I could also take a sliver of hair, twist it around my finger, and get more separated waves. There was subtle stickiness, like beach hair or light hairspray, but my hair was still soft and fine to touch. My hair typically has a satin finish and this didn’t kill that with matte-ness, which was perfect. I avoided spraying too much and that is key. My hair looked cooler than at the start of the day. Before going to bed, I retwisted my hair (no extra spraying) and loved the strong waves I got in the morning. I didn’t find the scent perfumey or too strong. I could smell it when my hair came close to my face, but it disappeared overnight. I could imagine some people who are very particular about scents may not find it so appealing. It’s a unique one that’s slight coconut and slight citrus. It was fine for me. My hair is medium, not too thick. So while it worked for me, this non-aerosol spray might not do enough for other hair types. But for what I needed, this really checked all the boxes! Read more

This works well and smells nice but I didn’t notice a difference between this and other hair care products. Freewill claims the benefits are achieved by cycling your products based on your hair’s needs. If one goes this route using Freewill product, it’s a large investment that one would have to make in order to test the validity of the claim. This was initially available by subscription and now more widely sold. But I’m not sure if it’s a better or worse value. If you’re intrigued by the concept of Hair Cycling and don’t mind the price - around twenty dollars for an 8oz bottle at the time of review - it might be worth giving Freewill a try, but ymmv. This is a nice quality conditioner, thick and creamy, leaving my hair soft and silky without causing greasy feeling. The fragrance is light and has a hint of maybe... orange? That's what it smells like to me anyway. It's a nice scent and not too strong. I didn't notice any volumizing effect using it, but it also didn't cause heaviness like some other thick conditioners do. I will continue to use it. Read more

I have fine medium thick long hair. I’ve used this about 4 times now and each time my hair feels and looks oily after washing. It lathers well and smells good, but is way too heavy for my hair. I did notice some volume, but the oily look and feel to my hair makes this not a good pick for me. Read more

This is a nice conditioner that doesn’t weigh my hair down. It smells nice and does detangle well without being overly heavy. It did seem to add some volume to my hair and helped it to look more full. Read more

Maybe this stuff works better if you have really thin hair, not with my average hair I didn't notice any volume increase at all. But it did seem to clean nice at least Read more
