Well I've been having trouble finding a suit set for my almost 8 year old because he is on the husky/chunky side. These pants fit him really well and they are well made for an active little boy. I haven't washed them yet but they seem durable from my experience with boys and pants. This is an ideal pair of pants for boys uniform. It is particularly perfect for my 5-year-old who hasn't quite figured out how to undo his button. Having a hook style closure is much easier for him. The khaki fabric is great quality that is bound to withstand the wear and tear from playground activity. It is the right length, and width, not too heavy and gives my son a very smart look. These are a good, soft, heavier-weight dress pant for boys. The adjustable waist works well for skinny kids. They wash up nice and and look sharp, just don't wash anything really lint-y with them or you'll need a lint roller. They are a true cotton twill material so they do attract lint but nothing too bad.
