I Love these crystals!! They smell so good. I only sprinkle a little into the box along with some Nature's Miracle litter deodorizer. I use Cat's Pride antibacterial clay litter mixed with Pidan tofu litter. This combination results in the lowest tracking and a box the NEVER stinks! This is a great price. Full disclosure, there are a lot of cats in this house. I have several of my own, and I foster on top of that, so I had high hopes for this, since it wouldn't increase the dust that we already see from the litter, and hopefully would still help with the odor between scoopings. The smell is nice, and it seems to work well initially. Where it falls short for me, is that b/c the crystals disintegrate when they come in contact with liquid after using it several times, my clumping litter doesn't clump as well, meaning that the clumps of urine/litter don't stay clumped, and I don't get all of the soiled litter out of the box, leading the smell to be worse overall than if I'd not used the litter crystals. This probably happened after a week of using it once or twice daily when scooping. The simple solution is to completely change out the litter more often (I tend to be a scoop and top off kind of person, due to the amount of litter we go through with fostering etc.) or don't use the litter crystals with each scooping. Lesson learned. So ultimately, a good product, just be aware of how it can affect clumping litter, and possibly adjust based on that. Read more

I have been using this to try to prolong time between a full litter change and cover bad smells. This does smell great, so it does what it says in that case. But my cats do not care for this. The only thing I can think of is the crystals are large and may be sharp on their paws, which I thought would not be a problem because we use crystal litter anyway, but I think the litter itself is softer than this, and when the cats encounter this, they don't care for it and start peeing in other places outside of the litter box. The other thing I noticed is that after I use this, I know it's only a matter of 2-3 days before I have to do a full litter change because once I use this, the crystal litter itself seems to become less effective at absorbing urine. So the longevity is not great. I had been hoping for a week of prolonged use instead of 2-3 days. Perhaps it's because I use crystal litter that I'm having a poor experience, but there is no indication that this isn't effective for crystal litter in the product descriptions. So three stars because it smells good and works for a little bit, but I probably won't buy this again. Read more

It works! It really works! I mean, it won't fix a horribly overfilled litter box, but it works after scooping. I use crystal litter, which requires daily stirring. This item arrived a few days into using a new bag and began to stink (four cats). As soon as I did the daily scoop and stir, I added this deodorant. It had a very pleasant smell that wasn't overpowering. A little sprinkle throughout and no more stink! Give it a shot. I just ordered another scent to see if it was just as pleasant.
