This Lactation Massager was a letdown. The heat is barely noticeable, and the vibration feels weak and ineffective for relieving clogged ducts or engorgement. It also loses battery quickly, which makes it unreliable when you need it most. For the price, I expected something much stronger and more helpful. I bought two of these because the price point was right. Other lactation massagers are laughably overpriced for what they are — glorified heated vibrators, let’s be honest. I like the shape of these, they are easy to slip into a pumping bra and reposition as needed. The buttons are intuitive and the silicone is soft. However, the devastating caveat is that the battery falls woefully short of bare minimum expectations. Even on the lowest heat and vibration settings, these massagers will not last through a 30 minute pumping session. They must constantly be charging to be remotely useful for regularly pumping or breastfeeding moms. And I know I didn’t just get a faulty one, because both of mine last for the same amount of time. In college (over a decade ago) I bought a cheap little silicone bullet vibrator made by some no-name brand that uses the exact same charging cable, and has about the same vibrating power as these. It has now been repurposed as a lactation massager because it works just as well as these, and lasts at least 4x as long. So it’s clearly possible to make something like this that holds a charge, which is why it’s mystifying that these massagers aren’t better than they are. I wanted to like these so much, but if you need a device with stamina, I recommend just buying yourself a cheapie vibrator. Or shell out for one of the high end massagers I guess. Read more

I struggled with a big oversupply and it caused a lot of bumps in my armpits and breast with clogged ducts and I was so worried about getting mastitis.
