Love the color

This is a very good deal at this price point. The Navy blue color is bad a… I’m 5’10” 170 lbs, the A2 is just right where I like it, but I’ve been told it’s not competition acceptable (little short, both jacket and pants) Read more

Awesome super lightweight gi

This is my 3rd fuji gi. You can't go wrong with Fuji quality-wise, I already know this gi is going to last me until I get tired of it and end up passing it down to a new student. I love the navy blue color with the white embroidered logo and accents. The gi is extremely light weight at 350g, and it's vented with mesh material in the pits and groin. This makes it perfect for summer. The pants are ripstop material rather than plain cotton which I find is much longer lasting in the knees. I am a 5'7", 145lbs woman and I went with A2, which is the size of my other non-female specific Fuji gi as well. I checked the Fuji site to ensure A2 was right for me since no size guide was provided here. The reviewer that was a 195lb, 5'11" guy who also ordered A2 and unfairly knocked off a star due to size issues should have known to do the same, as A2 was clearly not the correct size for him based off the size chart. So don't let reviews about sizing deter you, just check the Fuji site. The length of both the jacket and pants are just right so far, after a couple cold washes and line drys. Very happy with the gi. Great Quality and comfortable

Based on the sizing recommendation from the manufacturer and other reviews, I sized up to the listed size for weight rather than height. I am glad I did, the sizing is just about perfect for me. I am 5'3" and was worried the pants would need altering based on listed size, they were suppose to fit 5'5'-5'9', but after washing they are exactly the right size for me. If you are taller than 5'5", I would suggest going up another size if you do not want the pants to hit above the ankle/lower shin. The jacket seems a little smaller, like it is more of a women's cut so if you have broad shoulders or are wider in the chest area, you should size up there as well. This worked well for me since I am female and do not have overly broad shoulders! This brand was recommended by my gym so the quality was exactly what I was expecting. The quality of the material is superb, I like the feel. It is lightweight and breathable with the mesh vents. Overall, very pleased. Read more

Great looking. But sized small

It's a nice looking gi. I liked the blue more than I expected. The fabric is light weight. Nice for a travel gi. Pits and crotch are vented. Really the only problem I saw was it fits tight. I wear an A2 and own four other gis. All different brands. A2 fits fine in all of them. (I'm a fit 195 and 5'11") But this jacket pinches under the arm pits - not wide enough through the chest and lats. It's uncomfortable. Maybe it would relax with use. But why have to go through restricted movement for a maybe? It's also pretty short at the waist and arms. For the waist, I wouldn't care. Less fabric for an opponent to use. But the arms are short enough that I'd need to check if they were competitionl legal. Probably on the line. The pants I liked a lot. They were a little short too. But competition legal and just roomy enough to be able to move in comfortably. Too bad about the jacket. Real disappointment. Update: I added a star. This gi is now in regular rotation. I soaked the jacket in hair conditioner & stretched it, then again in vinegar and more stretching. Finally it fit. It's snug but maybe prefect for completion. Read more

Solid construction gi

The materials have a nice contact feel to them. The belt material around the opening is solid and provides excellent contact points. There are breathable weave segments in both the top and bottom. These are sturdy enough to withstand the abuse a gi is designed to take and allow some airflow to cool things off. Sizing is pretty much what I expected. I am 6' 190 and the A3 fits perfectly. The leg comes up about a third of my calf which is exactly where I prefer a gi to land. The drawstrings on the pants hold them firmly in place. The only negative I can think of is I would rather not have the abundance of name advertising on the outside of the gi. Leave these areas for dojo affiliation patches or embroideries. This isn't a star value item as the pictures showed this, but is just a preference for a generic gi. Overall, this is a quality gi which should last quite a while depending on the use, abuse, and care taken. Read more

Excellent Lightweight BJJ Gi

This is an excellent lightweight Jui-Jitsu gi from Fuji. Unlike the common heavyweight grappling gi’s that are made of cotton canvas, this one is a 55% polyester/45%cotton blend, making it lighter and cooler. It also has what Fuji calls ‘Flow-Tech’ mesh panels in the armpits and gusset to aid in cooling. But that doesn’t mean it’s not durable. The collar has multiple rows of stitching and is very stiff (it feels about as stiff and strong as the collar on any heavyweight gi I have), which is important in training. Fuji says the pants are a triple reinforced rip-stop design so they should also wear well and last through a lot of mat work. Add to all that the fact that this gi looks great! You can tell that a lot of thought and experience went into the design and tailoring. I really like it and recommend it highly. Read more

FAB-U-LOUS Gi

This Fuji Flow-Tech gi is awesome! It feels super lightweight while sparring and drilling. My range-of-motion isn't restricted and the material of the gi is so lightweight that I am less sweaty and able to cool quicker between rounds. The material is breathable and allows for good ventilation to cool you down. The gi runs true to size- be sure to check their website for which size is appropriate. Different brands have different measurements listed for particular sizes. I have been an A2 in one and an A3 in the other due to height recommendations. I'm impressed by this gi- great feeling, comfortable, feels nice on the skin, is durable, and is affordable. Read more
