Delightful small soft narwhal nightlight appeals to the young at heart of all ages (not waterproof)

Fuloon Blue Whale Night Light, Squishy Silicone Kids Lamp with Touch Control, Safe & Soothing Nightlight, USB-C Rechargeable, 30-Min Auto Timer (Blue)—I guess I'm a kid, because I'm a sucker for cute things that light up. Which is the prefect description of this little guy. Everything about him (or gender of your choice) is soft and cute. Essentially, the "nightlight" is a rounded, almost spherical soft silicone form with a little whale tail and a super adorable little conical yellow horn between its closed eyelids. The horn clearly IDs this as a narwhal, although the product listing when I ordered it just said "Blue whale". It's not a blue whale, but the color when not lit up is blue on top. I see the product listing now says "Narwhal", so, good. It's about 4 X 5 inches, just right to fit into an adult hand. It's very squishy and gives the impression it might squeak if squeezed, like a squeaky toy (it doesn't, but it does make breathy air sounds when squeezed). The internal LEDs are controlled by tapping or squeezing. It takes a firm tap to change the setting. It has 3 levels of basic white internal light and with the next tap it starts cycling through a variety of colors. Sometimes the colors are split between the top and bottom parts, so there's a lot of color variety. I saw on a similar product that you could stop the color cycling at your favorite color with a tap. I think you can do this with this one, too, but it was kind of hit or miss when I tried. I made a video showing the light cycling through the options. There's a lot of variety in the light combinations and some are really lovely, like soft purples, pinks and blue greens. The light can be set to turn off after 30 minutes with a switch on the bottom of the whale's body, making it ideal for use while dropping off to sleep. The charging port has a USB-C input that's located under the little tail. Right next to the port is a small LED that lights up red when charging and green when fully charged I have one bit of advice for sellers of these lights. The look and feel is similar to toys that can be taken into the bath, but this Narwhal cannot be immersed in water. The USB port isn't sealed. I recommend clearly stating on the box and the bottom of the light that it's not for water play. Maybe there are some like this that are sealed and waterproof, because I've see a variety for sale in different animal shapes from different sellers. The box has a small parts choking warning and says "Not for children under 3 years" despite the language selling this for babies and children. There aren't actually any removable small parts, but perhaps a child could chew off the little horn or flippers. Read more
