I love the simple design of this mirror! I got the gold one, to go with brass in my office and it looks great :) The mirror itself is nice, clear, sturdy and fitted snugly to its metal frame. The small “tag” at the bottom of the metal frame says “LOVE” which is quite small and rather unnoticeable unless you know it’s there, which can be a cute positive mantra only you can know is there :) It is a nice size to be able to do makeup in, check yourself as you go out the door, or just purely to bounce light around a room and look pretty! The backing is a printed wood grain (not real wood grain), which feels unnecessary in my opinion, as it will be against the wall anyway! The rigid hardware to hang the mirror feels very sturdy, but I don’t know that I trust the rope hanger the same way. The mirror isn’t crazy heavy, but the rope-hanger is made of a plastic feeling material similar to what I’ve had on tassels on affordable purses and costume accessories; so I know it can warp/stretch/degrade over time. In addition, the rope doesn’t seem well secured to the back of the mirror. The way it is, it could pull free with time. I’d rather see the ends of the rope sticking out the bottom of the hardware; better yet sticking out and knotted so the rope is real secure. The mirror isn’t too heavy, and I love the look of hanging it by the rope, but I will not be surprised if one day (a long while from now) the rope slips and it falls. I am thankful to see that the hardware is screwed in, so if needed later I can reinforce or repair it myself :) All in all it’s a great value for the price, and hanging on the wall on a nail or picture hanger is quick and easy! This is the most wonderful decorative mirror. I couldn't be more pleased with the product & how this little adventure turned out. This package arrived well, in perfect condition and ready to hang. It has a minimalist contemporary style look that can easily be put to immediate use like I did or it can be crafted upon, added to, or staged in a million different ways. It's a perfect fit for so many, many styles of decor. More importantly, it is quality all around (OK, pun intended) from the glass of the mirror itself to the just thick enough white frame that surrounds it. There are several other options should you want to hang this in different ways, but I really liked the string, twine style it came with and used that-a bit more of a farmhouse look- casual but professional looking. I felt funny at first because all I did was take it out of the packaging, walk over to my bedroom & hang it over a top shelf corner on a my tall chest of drawers. That's it, BOOM, instant decor! I got the white which is really nice and plan on doing some sort of craft around the frame that surrounds the mirror. It's great the way it is, but I can't seem to stop crafting the things I get to make them more personal, original, and it's so nice having a tie-in that helps pull the room together with a bit of an artsy theme through colors, patterns or coordinating designs & items. My best friend says I have a pathological need to finish the finished products I buy when adding to my decor. So, for example, this mirror is perfectly wonderful on its own, but I need to do something more for it to really fit into my lifestyle, to feel like it's mine. Here, I'm thinking of either making a shell border or adding in dried flowers around the frame. It will soften the look up a bit as well, but I don't want it over chotchked either, so I decided to leave it as-is for awhile before I adorn it further. This is a perfectly sized round mirror, where I can do my hair, and minor makeup & wardrobe checks or finishing touches. It is heavy as far as substantial but not cumbersome, just right as Goldilocks would say. The mirror is made very well, it is a fine quality piece that can look terrific in so many different places. About three weeks later, I even made the chest of drawers into a pretty little dressing/reading nook where I added a chair (refinished old dining table Windsor style) with an artsy funky patchwork & lace shawl strewn over it, then added a rechargeable vintage looking torchaire wall light that finished the corner decor with absolute perfection! Who would have thought a simple little purchase of a 12" mirror could induce such an adventure?! (And so many additional purchases...) All this was started from one minor impulse buy- getting a pretty white ~12" mirror for my room. I recommend this for the quality, style, changeability, ease of use & quality. Did I say quality twice? Yes, I believe I did. If you have a spot that a mirror would enhance, by all means think of this one. I love mine & it was super easy & mighty reasonable. Read more
