I bought the whole set of these plushie superheros for my 2 and 7 year old nephews for their birthdays when they first came out. The Superman, Flash, Green Lantern and Batman were a big hit. When the second series came out before Christmas I bought them too (Penguin, Joker, Catwoman and Wonder Woman) but kept WW for myself. I couldn't part with her! Now my nephews play superheroes and supervillian all the time, and I gave another set of heroes and villians to my 3 year old cousin. Big hit again, I hear the toys go flying around the house. These are just really cute and cuddly and perfect for young kids. Much better for toddlers than standard superhero action figures. They hold up very well to kid play. I saw this toy in a DC Superhero Store, where they wanted $50 for it. The one in the store was also faded from being in the window for so long, and dusty. So I went on Amazon where I got a brand new one, non-faded and dust-free, all wrapped up in brand-new plastic, for less than $15 including shipping! As a Superman lover (and a girl), I find this toy extremely adorable and love it to pieces. The quality seems good, and seems safe enough to give to small kids who like to put things in their mouths (but I would watch the eyes if you do that, so maybe not to really small kids). Read more
I bought this plushie for my friend, a hardcore comic- book nerd who loves superman, and she loved it. The fabric is really durable (it is a little rough, though), and the plushie itself is really cute. The size is perfect, not too big nor too small. I really liked it, and it makes for a good gift. This was a gift for our four-year-old son's birthday. He gave it a big hug as soon as he opened it and cuddles it at bedtime (which is a rather select honor as he doesn't sleep with a bunch of stuffed animals). He was a little confused about the lack of nose and mouth; the minimalist design ethic is kind of lost on a four-year-old, but he's content that the facial omissions serve the purpose of making it cuter. He replied that he didn't want Superman to be cute but got over it pretty quickly. We've only had it a few days so I can't attest to durability, but so far this wee Man of Plushy Steel has been a big hit with both the birthday boy and his two-year-old bro. The one I got was not the one in the picture. Mine has a mouth stitched in, hair looks different and I don't think the brand was the same. I kept it because my son liked it ... But I really despise buying something that is falsesly advertised. Overall it's made decent and is similar in style. Read more
