I’m a big Lego fan and didn’t think any of the similar brands could ever be in the same league. Well, we have a contender. This was a fantastic product at a much better value and had several features that are superior to Lego… What is better: The integrated lighting system is phenomenal. Everything worked and was hidden by special bricks and other clever way to disguise the wires. It looks amazing with the lights out. Instructions were just as good if not better as they highlight where the bricks are placed. Manual was very professionally done. There are no stickers… yay! They make a lot of special bricks with graphics printed right on the brick. Really nice. They seem to put a lot more little extras into the scenes. The rooms seem more complete. All the pieces were there! It’s one thing we love about Lego. Missing pieces are the worst and this set was complete with all the pieces. Last thing I’ll mention was brick quality. There is only the slightest difference in the “snap” quality. But frankly only the most experienced builders will notice. Overall the bricks are very nice. I’ll be buying a lot more of this product. I’m impressed by the build quality overall but have an issue where one of the ends of a light, to be able to connect, is missing. Otherwise, I’m enjoying building the set and love how the lighting weaves through the build. This is my second funwhole set. It’s much easier to put together than other non-name brands. The details are great and some of the unique aspects are even better than the big brand in my opinion. Read more

I really really enjoy these sets. While I will always love Legos, these sets were fun with an appropriate amount of challenge. The lighting component a beautiful and fun addition to building these sets. The price point on these is also a huge bonus. The instructions for building are clear and made connecting the wiring so easy, especially for someone like me who was intimidated by the idea of the wiring at first. I have continued to buy more of their sets and have been so happy! Read more

I enjoyed putting this set together. There are many pieces but they are separated into thirty or so bags, each labeled with a number, one through ten. There are special pieces made to run the wires for the light system through so that the wires don't get pinched and are mostly out of sight. The accompanying book of directions carefully breaks down each step of the build and it was easy to follow. I like that this gelato shop is hinged so that it can be displayed fully closed or completely open. It is well designed and there are many small details which add to the interest. My only negative: I followed the directions to make sure the light system was working before starting the build. However, when I finished and tried to turn the lights on, no lights came on. At this point, i don't know if I did something wrong or if there is a problem with the lights themselves. Read more
