I got the solid black chair. I got this chair for my new desk that sits about 30" off of the ground. For this desk, this chair is perfect. I'm only about 5'4", and the back goes all the way up to about mid-head height for me. The chair sits quite high off of the ground naturally, which is a huge plus for me. I had used it for the past few days to get a feel for it while gaming, working, writing, and I have found that it's quite comfortable and sturdy. The chair is also pretty aesthetically pleasing, too. It's in the racer back style, but not over-the-top gaming chair racer back. It's not very large, so it works in more compact spaces, and its was pretty easy to put together. I mean, really easy. I thought mine came without instructions, so I looked for similar instructions online. When I found the instructions that DID indeed come with my chair, I had put it together just as was printed. One thing I noticed is that since I only weight just over 100lbs, I had to get a friend of mine to break in the reclining mechanism after I put it together so it would actually move for me. This was even after "loosening" the tool it to it's maximum. Overall, it's nice, sleek, and perfect size for a short and small gamer. I hope this chair is still available for whenever mine wears out. I had been using a cheap Target computer chair for a few months, since my old good-quality chair had finally given out after years of service and I didn't have the money to replace it with another good-quality model. I work at my computer for 8+ hours a day, so sitting in that chair without back support was causing me a lot of pain. I browsed around on Amazon for a few days, comparing different chairs. Overall, this one had the best reviews, so I took the plunge and ordered it. Two days later, this beauty was sitting on my front porch waiting to be assembled. Assembly: Super easy. There were MAYBE 5 steps to put it all together. All of the pieces were in the box and none of the pieces, including the actual chair part, were damaged or malformed in any way. Aesthetics: This is a nice-looking chair. The materials seem to be high-quality; no funky leather-ish smell at all either. It goes really well with my black computer monitor, black speakers, black desk, black computer, etc. Functional quality: This chair swivels and glides smoothly across the floor. The raise/lower lever doesn't stick, and the chair doesn't lower over time under my weight. I'm 5'8 and 260 lbs for reference, so it seems to be a pretty sturdy chair. It's not a tight fit when I sit down either; the seat itself is decently wide and deep. The back of the chair is sturdy yet forgiving- it's not like sitting against a brick wall, but it provides nice back support. The top of the back comes up to my ears (again, I'm 5'8 for reference). Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase and would recommend this office chair to anyone who needs a comfortable, ergonomically supportive chair. Read more

I didn’t buy this chair for gaming, but I’m a graphic designer who also shoots photo and video, so I needed something I can be at my desk for hours in, and not hurt my back. My old chair was from Staples, very similar looking (maybe just slightly wider seat) and I purchased it about 6 years ago for roughly the same price as this chair. But using that old one, every time I did some editing my tailbone and back would be sore, I started having to sit on a pillow and put one behind me just to work. I’m also a big guy (6’1” 300ish pounds). This was the only high back chair in this price range that advertised it supported up to 280lbs. (My old staples chair was either rated at 250 or 280 I forget). I’ve only had this chair for a week, but I have culled through a full wedding shoot and edited nearly 300 photos, designed a website, as well as countless other tasks in that week, and the improvement has been noticeable by far. The ergonomic shape of the back definitely spares me the lower back pain, and there’s more support for my tailbone because I haven’t worn out the cushions support. The lever to raise and lower the chair works great and I do feel a little bounce when I first sit down, so maybe that function won’t last forever, but I usually don’t have it up at its highest anyway because my desk is a little low. Comfort is good, and I’ll update after a while or if it breaks but it feels like it’ll hold up as well as the old staples chair. Even if this only lasts 2 years, I’d say it’s worth it. For a normal sized human who’s less than the advertised supported weight, it should last a lot longer. Read more
