I previously put felt type adhesive gliders on my kitchen table chairs that rest on a textured tile floor. After about one year, the felt began to wear thru and the adhesive was making a ugly, hard to clean mess on the floor. I have also tried a hard plastic glider that nailed into the chair leg. It was too loud and didn't glide any better than the wood chairs with nothing on them at all. Finally tried these slider pads and they were easy to install and glide better and quieter than anything else I have tried. There is also no felt to catch pet hair (which is nice!). The only concern I have is that the grey gliding material seems to be pretty thin. I don't know how long they will last but I will update my review if they wear out in less than a couple years. There is potential that as they wear out, the screw could eventually be exposed to the floor which could be problematic. Will need to keep on eye on these. Update 2/25/21: After less than a year and a half, the grey gliding material is mostly gone on my chairs. They still slide fairly well, but not as good as when these things were new. I'm disappointed a bit that these did not last longer, but considering how well they work, the low cost, and the ease of installation, I went ahead and ordered more. I still recommend them, but don't expect them to last for years. Read more

Sliders worked better than expected. Easy to install. Furniture slides easily and does not scratch wood floors. Best of all, no more fuzzy lint and pet hair clinging to felt pads. Read more

I installed these in January on our dining chairs. I had been using felt pads with previous tile and vinyl floors, but felt was too "grippy" on the new cork floors. These Teflon gliders are just right - quiet, slide easily, and protect the floors. But after about 6 months, I noticed they were not sliding as easily any more, and at 9 months, I finally flipped the chairs over and took a look: the Teflon surface (Gray) had completely worn-off so it was mostly the black rubber-like plastic exposed. It probably still protected the floor OK, but did not slide easily any more. The new pads are about 5.5 mm thick. In the photo, the one that is partially worn-out is 4.8 mm, and the one fully worn-out is 4.2 mm. So there is only about 0.5 mm (0.020") of usable wear surface. Don't let them wear-out too far or you risk having the screw-heads scratching your floor. Nevertheless, I like these, so I will just make it a semi-annual project to buy a new set and replace them - they are not that expensive. Read more

These were exactly as described and fit chairs perfectly. Solves problem of sticky pads coming off of chair with the screw in design. The βfeelβ of the chair gliding on the floor is a bit different but so far perfectly protects floor and fits perfect. Would highly recommend for the price! Read more

I used these for a small cabinet that I use in my basement as a movable countertop as a small kitchenette that I can easily move around if needed. And a small set of steps that I built to get to upper shelves in the basement as well. The basement is mostly carpeted so this work fabulously. Read more

These don't slide as well as true phenolic, but they're cheap & easy to install. Used on feet of cedar chest. Next time I'll just use the glides sold at Walmart, they glide on floors better. Read more
