The media could not be loaded. I bought this for a beach trip, and it has been a total lifesaver. It has a nice wide brim that provides excellent sun protection—I haven't burned at all, and it keeps my entire face shaded. My husband jokes that it’s my "Kentucky Derby hat" :-) Between my kids trying to "steal" it to wear themselves and getting caught in a few unexpected rain showers, this hat has held up perfectly. It even kept my head dry during the rain! The best part is how easy it is to pack —you can roll it up really small to fit into a suitcase. Great hat that covers my complete head and over my shoulders to keep sun out. Love that I can adjust the size. The hat fits perferctly and I plan on buying more. I needed a hat for sun protection and so happy I found this one! I ordered 2 - one in mixed beige and one black. It worked fabulously at keeping my face protected and even offered some coverage for my chest and shoulders. The hat was very comfortable and stylish as well. I have a smaller head so ordered the M-L size. It was still too big so I love that they have a band in the hat that you can tighten - it did the trick! I have not taken this on a trip yet so cannot speak to the foldability. I also have not washed as instructions indicate only spot or dry clean. Any straw hats I’ve had lose their shape after getting wet, so I’m assuming the same is true for this one. Read more

The quality vs price of this hat is decent and it’s comfortable and fits nicely (also like the band for when it’s windy), but I would recommend against buying the lighter color band. You can see in my photo that the glue is now visible through the ribbon after I left it in my hot car. I wanted to be able to just leave this hat in the car so that I have it ready for when I’m going to be outside, but seems it can’t withstand hot temps without ruining the lighter color ribbon. I suspect the black would be fine and hide any discoloration. Not returning as it’s still functional and I don’t want it to go to the landfill, but it certainly doesn’t look as nice now. Would likely be ok for travel but it does take a while for the brim to reef gain its shape after shipping, so I wouldn’t want it crumpled or even folded in a suitcase- maybe could roll it up ok in a carryon without too much trouble Read more
