Buy Them! You'll be Cute, Warm, Dry, and Comfortable!
The media could not be loaded. I can't believe how much I like these! These Chelsea booties are made of rubber and are unbelievably comfortable and dare I say it? They are cute. I have worn them around all week and have been surprised at how they managed to be perfect for a number of weather conditions. Where I am, we were moving into fall, then fell into winter, and then pulled up into a wet/cool spring? So, I wore them while out cleaning the property up and doing leaf management. Even wore them into the creek (not above my ankle) and they kept my feet not only dry, but that water was pretty cold and I didn't feel it. Then we got hit with a quick couple inches of snow and they were wonderful! Kept me warm and dry and no slipping or sliding in them even when I was tugging with the dogs. Then we got the deluge of rain. Again, the mud can't get anything over on them with my feet staying warm and dry. They are a breeze to keep clean because you can just hose or wipe them off. I love how light weight they are and the kick tab in the back is a handy feature that does not feel like it's going to come off. The top is wide enough I can let my pant legs fall in and protect them from the mud and wet as well. No feeling like they were going to pull off in the mud, either, although I was not getting into anything too major. Having the reflective tabs to pull on in the front and back to pull on is handy. Sooo much easier to get on and off than my Mucks. I was concerned that I wouldn't be able to wear them for long periods because it looks like such a flat sole, but despite what feels like just a light padding inside, I have worn them for 3 full days and intermittently outside daily since I got them and have never developed sore feet. They do have a thicker sole on them, so perhaps they have support built into that. Regardless, I have had no foot pain. Normally, I wear 8.5 and my feet are borderline wide. (Can't wear Nike as they are too narrow for me.) That said, I envisioned wearing them to take the dogs out, collect mail, run the cans to the road... so I wanted "easy" and ordered the 9. It worked perfectly! As long as I am wearing socks vs compression stockings or hose, they fit me great! Not too tight nor too loose. They are rubber, so I am sure that in warmer climates and seasons they would be too hot to wear, but honestly, I feel like that wider top allows them to breathe a bit as well. I haven't had sweaty feet, yet, despite working hard in them. They appear to be made well, but only time will tell in the end. I plan to continue to subject them to daily punishment ankle height and below and see no reason why they won't last. I feel they are a good purchase for the price especially since I believe they will last awhile. I am seriously considering getting the grey pair as well! Read more
