I ordered these brown fur leg warmers for use in various Viking or animal costumes, since we attend renfaire style events several times during the year. I ordered the shorter length rather than knee length, so I was able to get them on without much trouble, and I imagine they would work well as a boot cuff, i.e. a fur stripe visible at the top of a boot. They are cut on the narrower side, and the material is pretty standard Halloween costume quality, but at least it was softer/more plush than another pair of furry leg warmers that I got for the same price point. These run small in diameter. I am a size 4/6 and had to wiggle to get top over my calf. The brown color did look better in person as I could see the subtle light and dark colors that make it look more like fur vs the photo in ad that looked like one color. The inside is lined with a satin fabric so as not to be scratchy. The bottom does not have as much flare to it as appears in ad. I tried to show in my photos the maximum stretch. I ordered these for a Viking costume so they will be fine for my purposes but I did have giggles when I bunched up my pants and put them on before my shoes. I looked like I had ape legs. CON'S I took away two stars for the narrowness of the cut as it will not fit anyone with larger calves. I also felt the fur was thin and not plush, thus looking more like I had hairy ape legs instead of wearing a fur pelt or a boot cover. PRO's It turned my ankle boots into unique looking knee high boots.It would help conceal boot gap on wide calf knee high boots and it will work fine on children and most teens.
