I am a sucker for anything soft and fuzzy, especially in black and white. When you put those two together, I am completely sold. I have two dogs, and I tend to compare just about everything to them, so I love surrounding myself with things that remind me of my silly little pups. I was really eager to get these slippers; They looked so cute and comfortable on line, and I thought that I would be able to walk through the cooler rooms at night without freezing my toes off. The moment that they arrived, I tore into the package... and realized I wasn't getting my walks warmer with these. They looked HUGE! I normally wear a 6 1/2 or 7 in sandals or slippers, but thought that the 7-8 size would work for me fine, especially after long days when my feet might swell. I never dreamed that the slippers would be so oversized. I decided to be sure of the sizing, and put one slipper on, and felt that heavenly cushioning in the sole and snk into the plush lining, and watched my foot get swallowed whole, with literally inches left over on the slipper. Sigh! I took the other and flipped it over, just in case they might have sent the wrong size, but no, it said 7-8 on the bottom. My daughter wears a size 9, and my mom wears a size 10,so I had them both try on the slippers to see what the true size was for the supposed 7-8s. My daughter tried them first, but he felt that they were too loose for her comfort as well. Mom tried them last, and just like a certain fairytale princess, the slipper fit her just right, and she loved them! Claims that they are like floating on clouds, and adorable to boot! ( I'm sure you can guess who is keeping the slippers now) I was quite disappointed that I will still get frozen tootsies for awhile, but I'm glad Mom loves & gets to enjoy them if I can't. About the slippers themselves: These are oversized, but really cute scuff style slippers, with suede-like uppers over the instep, lined with extremely plush sherpa type material, and a hard rubber ergonomic type sole. As I mentioned, mom claims it is like floating on clouds, and my short experience with them would cause me to agree with her. As I also mentioned, the size 7-8 is literally a size 10 comfortably, so do be careful of sizing when ordering that size range. i don't have any way of telling if the other sizes are as overlarge, but I would say that it's a safe bet that they are. I'm giving the slippers a 3 star rating due to the extra 2 inches of slipper; It loses one star for each inch that prevents me from enjoying them myself, but still gets a good rating for the comfort and style. They also appear to have been make quite sturdily and with great materials and skillful assembly. As soon as I finish writing this, I'm going to go back and order a size 5-6, and go right back to waiting impatiently at the mailbox. I'm hopeful that I will be more well fit to the slippers this time, and my toes will be warmer by next week (wish me luck?
