Great athletic shorts

Amanda LarsonFebruary 20, 2026

These fit nice, true to size and are very lightweight and breathable. The elastic at the back of the waistband provides extra comfort, and they hit just above the knee on my 6’0 husband. The material is quick to dry. Great quality and just as pictured. Read more

Lightweight Hiking Shorts That Move With Me

KendellFebruary 22, 2026

These 9 inch casual shorts are light enough for warm hikes and the fabric dries quick after getting wet from sweat or creek crossings. The waist sits right and the stretch lets me step high without feeling tight. The pockets are deep enough for my phone and keys without them bouncing out. The hem stays put and does not ride up when I sit or bend. I have worn them on several trails and they have not chafed or faded after washing. The color is still sharp and the material has not pilled. These shorts are comfortable for all day wear at a good price. They handle movement better than my old pair. I keep them in rotation for hikes and yard work. Read more

Boyfriend approved!

KayaFebruary 12, 2026

My boyfriend really enjoys these shorts! He is about 5’9, 180lbs and got a medium. The fabric is very stretchy, breathable, and durable, but not too thin either. The pockets are also a good size, and he likes that they can zip up. The shorts can be dressed up or down, and look absolutely great on my partner. Very nice pair of shorts overall! Read more

Good for the golf course - perhaps too dressy for hiking, but not dressy enough for "events"

TeauxjaFebruary 16, 2026

These shorts try to split the difference between dressy shorts and "performance" shorts. They're cut like tailored chino shorts, but the mostly-polyester fabric looks and feels abit cheap compared to chinos. If you're looking for active-wear shorts, they're almost too polished looking for some activities like hiking. Where they really work is the golf course, where they would fit perfect with the dress code ('tailored shorts'). You still get breathable, moisture-wicking, stretchy movement in these. The pockets or different - in that they aren't really hand pockets. However, they do hold plenty of stuff and the zippers keep everything secure - which is perfect if you're moving around more. The length on these are perfect, good coverage without looking baggy. The waistband elastic is a little on the weak side, but there are belt loops if you want to lock in the fit. The stitching and overall build appear to be of good quality. Read more

Silky and smooth

LaunchpilotJanuary 20, 2026

These are very comfortable, lightweight shorts for outdoor activities and a bit dressier than cargo shorts. The camo design is subtle enough to not offend but gives more style than just plain black. I love that the pockets are on the side of the thigh rather than on top. Things don't bounce around in your pockets nearly as much and the zippers keep them secured. I am able to fit my S25+ no problem. A rear pocket would be a nice thing to add but not necessary. The belt loops are small so plan on a small leather belt no more than 2 inches wide. The belt sits right at the top of shorts, too so there's not much material to protect you from your own belt. Without the belt the shorts feel very comfortable; silky and smooth. The zippered fly and pockets work easily and feel solid. The shorts go to just the top of my knees in an XL and I'm 5'11". Read more

Very Lightweight Shorts

BBWIFebruary 6, 2026

I got these G Gradual Men's Shorts for my preteen son who is 5'5" and 105 lbs. The size small is a little big on his waist, but is a nice length. The shorts are very lightweight and have no inner liner. They also have no back pockets, which was a bummer, however I do appreciate the zippers on the side pockets to keep things from falling out. They'll definitely be comfortable in hot weather. The material is a polyester/elastane blend and I imagine after a wash they'll keep the wrinkles at bay. The photos show it directly out of the package, so it has some deep creases. Overall I wish it had back pockets and that the back elastic band was a little flatter. Read more

Lightweight, Comfortable Shorts With a Clean Look and Practical Design

DWJanuary 18, 2026

These shorts are genuinely lightweight without feeling thin or flimsy. The fabric has a smooth, slightly stretchy feel that moves well during walking or casual activity. On warmer days they stay breathable and do not feel heavy or clingy. The waist fits comfortably without digging in, and there is enough stretch through the seat and thighs to allow easy movement. They sit naturally without feeling too slim or overly relaxed. The 9 inch inseam provides solid coverage while still maintaining a modern, athletic look. The zipper pockets are a practical feature. They securely hold a phone or keys without bouncing during walks, and the zippers glide smoothly without catching. Stitching appears clean and consistent, and after washing they maintained shape without noticeable shrinkage or twisting. Overall, these are versatile shorts that work well for walking, casual outings, or light activity. Read more

Great packable shorts, but the front fit is very tight

Practical Product ReviewsJanuary 23, 2026

I really liked the packability and overall feel of these shorts. They are lightweight, comfortable, and easy to throw in a bag for travel, hiking, or summer days, and the fabric has a nice quick dry stretch feel. The zip side pockets are also a great idea because they keep your phone and keys secure without bouncing around. However, there is one big drawback for me: the front fit is very tight and there is not enough loose material in the front, which can create an awkward tenting effect when standing or moving around. In the sample photos I had my hands in the pockets to reduce it, but you can still see how tight the material is against my knuckles, which gives you an idea of how snug it is in that area. If that fit issue will not bother you, these are otherwise a solid lightweight option, but I wanted to call it out clearly. Read more
