These are comfortable shorts, thin quick drying material, pockets are normal (fit my phone, phone doesn't fall out a the moment I sit down). The side zippered pocket is strange, not back pocket, some overlap with the front pocket, but side and zipped. I have never seen pockets like this before, I think I'm a fan, perfect for holding my earbuds wiithout overlap with the phone. Stitching is good, no loose or strange threads. Fit is comfortable, no seam ripping at the crotch, and the legthn is great, not below the knee or so high that a deep squat shows off thigh. Pretty good value for active shorts (or lazy "I'm not leaving the house shorts", or both). Synthetic material so slightly stretchy and wrinkle resistant. Read more

These shorts are really great for casual summer wear. The pockets are deep and there is even a zippered pocket on the right side that could fit a phone. it has an elastic band as well as belt loops, and the fabric feels sturdy though not stretchy. My only caveat and the reason I drop a star is because the 4X is sized to fit a 3X at best, and in fact fit a 2X quite comfortably. These shorts are okay. Very lightweight with soft, stretchy fabric that could be mistaken for feeling cheap. Even with the elastic waistband, the sizing seems to run a bit smaller than stated. My main complaint is the pockets. There are no back pockets at all. The front pockets are good and spacious. The zippered pocket just about the right front pockets seems out of place and does not provide much functionality. I’m sure some will love these shorts and pockets, but for me it’s a bit of a miss. It's hard to find lightweight mens shorts that aren't basketball shorts, but these are perfect. I got them for my husband and he is very picky about his clothes! But he loves them! He says they are very comfortable and fit nicely. He likes the two deep pockets, plus the zipper pocket on the side. The waist fit perfectly with the elastic and the button up front and it was the perfect length as my husband is taller. I do like the fact that they get wet the do dry very quickly. These can be watered up and throw in the suitcase and come out wrinkle free. They go with a ton of different shirt styles. They are very well made and the stitching is very nice. Seem like good quality, but double check your sizing. I'm used to a large pant fitting me, especially if it stretches. In these shorts I think I'd need to go up a size or two. The material feels like it would be comfortable. They weren't kidding about 3 pockets, when I opened the shorts I was surprised that it didn't have rear pockets.
