I am very happy with this umbrella. I chose a larger canopy size and it is a very nice and large size. The color is very cute. It has reflective strips and a double layer for the wind to escape. It opens up with a push of a button and closes with another push, just the handle needs to be collapsed by hand. But when getting into a car quickly from the rain, the button operated closure makes it so much quicker and easier. Also the umbrella closes inside out, so if putting the umbrella into the footwell of the passenger seat, the rainwater doesn’t get on the seat or the console. And it has a carrying bag, so if it threatens to rain, I just bring it with me hangin on my shoulder. It is very well made, materials are sturdy and nice to the touch. Handle is smooth. Wasn’t paying attention to the size and thought I ordered a 72 in umbrella, but this one still is huge! And it’s very sturdy and very easy to open. The only the I don’t like is that you Have to use the button to pull it up or drop it down, so I’m worried about how to use it in the event the button stops working. This thing is huge! I was using a cheap $5 umbrella and if the wind/rain shifted even a little, the only dry part of me was my head. Not a problem with this umbrella. It’s big enough 2 people can comfortably fit under. It’s very durable, not a bit worried it will crumble in the wind. I have been worried a time or 2 in high winds that I was going to Mary Poppins it. Because of how big it is, it does tend to catch the wind sometimes so I recommend using the wrist strap. The up/down button on the handle is a godsend! No struggling to get the umbrella down before heading inside, just push the button and WHOOSH! It’s extracted! If extending it getting out of your car, make sure the umbrella is fully outside the vehicle first. It comes out pretty fast and as I said, it’s big. Pooped open great but i one of the spokes was broke and then it wouldn’t close. Returning. But the look of it was big and nice. I will reorder a new one and give it another try. Read more
The handle doesn't have the J shape can be hard to hold on to. Other than that I love it. Light weight, good quality. For a big umbrella that folds up small. The wind resistance is a great help when the wind is blowing. Read more
HUUUGE. This thing is not for NYers on narrow streets, unless you want side eye for hogging the sidewalk. Fortunately, I moved from NYC to the rural life and I have room to spare. Not getting a drop of rain on me with this thing. It is a stiff mechanism to close, but hoping that will ease up with use. I like that it does a good job of closing without getting water in the car as I close while climbing into the car. The cover is a bit tight to put on when the umbrella is wet, but I see myself just using that to make easier to carry when dragging along to the beach or on a trip. I did not test out the reflector strips, but they are visible and sure they work great if walking through a parking lot at night. Overall, this is a pretty awesome umbrella. Just maybe get the smaller version if you live in a place with normal sized sidewalks or lots of people. Read more
This is a great umbrella. It has both "one-button" opening and "one-button" collapsing (after collapsing the umbrella, you need to manually push the top and the bottom of the handle together to fully vlose it, arming the springs used for both opening and collapsing). After you close the umbrella, you can simple leave it upside-down on the floor to dry. It's small enough (when all folded up) that building security isn't going to give you a hard time for bringing into a secure location (like a sports stadium) One thing to note is that when you press the collapse button, make sure you've tilted the umbrella away from being directly overhead; otherwise it's going to "rain" its accumulated droplets on you.
