The fabric of this skirt is some of the softest I have ever felt! The outside is smooth and soft; the inside is thin fleece. The waistband is about two inches and very secure so it does not twist. The pockets are deep and set onto the front pf the skirt rather than in the side seams. This makes it harder for items to fall out of the pockets and also looks more attractive when you have stuff in the pockets. The reason for the four stars rather than five stars is because of the design. From the waist to the hips, the skirt looks very nice. From hips to the hem, the skirt appears kind of floppy. There are slits on both side seams which makes the front and back of the skirt flat rather than curved toward your body. I think if there was a slit in the center of the back or front, instead of the sides, the skirt would look a lot better and definitely would be a five-star item! Read more

I’ve been looking for a midi/maxi skirt like this since Athleta stopped making theirs. This is a steal at half the price. I’m 5’4” 132-135 lbs. and medium is perfect. Medium also is a good look on a friend of mine who is taller & heavier, oddly enough. (The slits & non clingy fabric help.) I used to like wearing pencil skirts to work; this piece seems to be slightly tapered. Much better than an unflattering, chunky straight skirt. It’s a great alternative to jeans in the fall, winter & early spring. I’m sick of black, so I got the navy & am considering the brown. Read more

This skirt is really nice. It is made well. I have the navy and the black. Comfortable and modest. The pockets are a nice addition. I'm not tall (5'1 144lb)so it comes to above my ankle. I bought large. They wash up great. I use cold water and low dryer settings. Read more
