These toothbrushes perform very nicely! The handle is very comfortable. The bristles are soft. It doesn't have any off taste. Make sure you disinfect after use in mouth wash or hydrogen peroxide. Hang dry it and I'm my experience it will last a month or a week more. Read more

Trying to avoid microplastics. Thought I was safe with "bamboo toothbrush with plant-based bristles from castor bean oil." I was wrong. That's just nylon in disguise. It's still plastic. It still sheds microplastics. And the handle being bamboo doesn't make up for that. This toothbrush is also bamboo. But the bristles are not plastic. Nor is anything else. Truly plastic- and microplastic-free. Phew. But that bamboo handle is really nice. I didn't think that would matter much, but it actually makes brushing easier and more effective to have an ergonomic handle. I appreciate that. My only concern now is whether I am going to be able to remember to take it easy brushing. The bristles are stiffer and a little less uniform. It could be hard on the gums if I wasn't paying attention. But so far so good. And what I wasn't expecting is they actually cleans better. So, that's a bonus. The bristles are a dark color, which is new, and they have kind of an earthy scent at first. Nothing bad and I'm very sensitive to that sort of thing. Overall I am very happy to find something that is actually safe to use. Microplastics are hard to avoid. But I have health reasons that give me an incentive to at least do what I can. And plastic that we put in our mouths like toothbrushes, night guards, and gum made from "gum base" instead of chicle are a good place to start. Read more
