Pretty, Comfy, and Doesn’t Slip
This Gaiam yoga mat has a nice cushion for knees and wrists, and the grip is good for both yoga and workouts. I love the reversible prints — it looks pretty and feels sturdy, and it rolls up easily for storage or carrying. Read more
Too good to wait
Usually I'll give a product time to fall apart or explode unexpectedly, but this thing is just quality through and through. While unwrapping, I'm telling myself I hope I like it because the mat looks awesome even rolled up - the colors are just as vibrant in person. The texture is well above what I had been used to on the standard, generic yoga mat. The raised bumps resemble that of a rope weave and feel great. The mat is thinner than my old one but is denser and more resilient. Less give but not uncomfortably so. And many items reviewed on Amazon will mention the product's unexpected smell. Could be wider, but otherwise quite nice.
I really like this mat, but it wasn't quite perfect. It grips well, I love the pattern on both sides, and the thickness of the mat felt just right for me, but it seems to be a bit more narrow than my previous mats. It's not so narrow that it really impedes my practice, but I am having to make slight adjustments to accommodate the difference between it and what I'm used to. Thus far, the mat seems to be holding up well to several practices a week, and I feel confident that this will be my mat for the foreseeable future. 30ish bucks was a very fair price the performance I've received.
