I used to be a loyal Tide Pods user simply because I used Tide liquid detergent for years before pods came out. But I recently tried Gain Flings because I found a good deal and I remember always liking the scent. These things smell SO much better than Tide Pods. I was able stop using scent beads after switching to Gain Flings because they leave all my clothes, towels and sheets smelling fresh even if they've been stored for a while after washing. They never stick to each other in the container which has a been issue with some other types of detergent pods. As for the container they come in, the child-proof lid is really annoying. I don't have any young kids in my house so the lid provides a safety feature that I just don't need. Instead having to stretch my hand and awkwardly pinch the lid to get it open every time, I transfer all the flings to a separate air-tight container that's more aesthetically pleasing. Read more

I like how easy pods are to pop into the washer. However, maybe the manufacturers of all pods could add a moisture absorber to the larger packages. (Always reach into the container with dry hands and tighten the lid afterward to help preserve the pods from moisture. Of course, when the humidity is high in summer, that contributes to them sticking together.) In large quantities, they have a habit of sticking together. When you try to pull them apart, they rupture. I end up losing some detergent or using more than I needed to use. Perhaps the addition of a moisture absorbing packet or some sort of coating on the pods would help with the problem. (I'm going to try baking soda sprinkled on them.) I'm sure someone will come up with a solution. For now though, I will continue to buy the large quantity package, but separate the pods into smaller packages. 96 pods stuck together is no fun! I was hesitant to buy this on Amazon because I've seen reviews on other products about the ones from the website being lower quality than in-store. But, I took a risk, and I'm glad! I am comparing these to the ones from Family Dollar (same brand and scent.) Pros: Smells AMAZING Strong but very pleasant scent Cleans the clothes well and keeps the fresh scent for long periods NO goopy liquid; just throw in clothes, throw in a pod, and DONE. I am able to use one pod per wash (I would say a medium to large wash) and it works just as well. Lid/container is easily opened by adults but I feel like kids would have a much harder time. Cons: I don't really have any. I guess the "skin" or the plastic of the pod seems pretty thin and feels like it could burst pretty easily if you squeeze too hard when grabbing it. I think it's fair to say that about any pods so...no cons, really. Read more

I'll be honest, my main reason for buying this detergent is the scent. I've bought the same Gain Moonlight Breeze liquid fabric softener, fabric sheets,Glade trash bags, car air freshener, Frebreeze spray and Mr.Clean liquid cleaner. As for the detergent, it works great and all my comes come out clean and smelling absolutely amazing for days and days. It's not an overbearing heavy perfume scent either, it's just a very clean and relaxing scent. You won't be disappointed at all with this detergent. Keep buying it too so Gain won't ever think about discontinuing it to come out with some other crap! Read more

So with everyone using these pod things from dishwashers to washing machines I felt like maybe it was time to try these. Being skeptical, I put it in the washer, let the water run to make sure it would start dissolving before I put my clothes in and it worked great. It smells good and I've done all kinds of loads with no residue or undissolved pieces. Some reviewers mentioned that so I was concerned, but no problems. If a person has an HE washer (I use to have one) just because it says it will work with HE machines doesn't mean it will. HE machines don't produce enough water to probably fully dissolve these things, which might be a complaint. Stick with HE only soaps for those machines. Regular machines these things are great.
