GAIN IS VERY ECONOMICAL, IT CLEANS WELL, THE LAVENDER FRAGRANCE IS NOT OVERWHELMING BUT LINGERS MUCH LONGER, AND WHEN I DISCOVERED A MOUSE IN THE HOUSE I SPRINKLED A LITTLE BIT OF THE DETERGENT INTO THE HEATING/COOLING DUCTS OF THE HOUSE AND PUT SMALL JELLY GLASSES FILLED WITH A HEAPING TABLESPOON OF THE DETERGENT, COVERED WITH A PERFORATED USED CANNING LID, ON "MOUSIE'S FAVORITE CRIME SCENES (THEY HATE THE LAVENDER SMELL!) – NO MORE DROPPINGS, NO MORE MOUSE ACTIVITY! YOU HAVE TO RENEW THE DETERGENT SPRINKLES REGULARLY. PS. I WILL TRY IF GAIN DRYER SHEETS MAY HAVE THE SAME EFFECT ON UNWANTED RODENTS – THEY DON'T NEED VACUUMING AND CAN BE DISCARDED QUICKLY AND EASILY. Read more

I love the lavender smell which stays in the clothes for weeks after the wash. It is great value for money to buy such a big container and this brand works really well with cold wash temperatures in my experience.
