Very nice, but much bigger than expected
I’ve been looking for an Asian ginger-jar vase like this in green and white for ages, so I snapped this one up. I’m very happy with it, but it is much bigger than I expected. The dimensions are almost 20 inches tall with a maximum diameter of almost 10 inches. I pictured it as something to fit in a bookcase or china cabinet, or on a table, but it’s more like a stand-alone piece for a large niche. It would look great as part of a pair, if enough space is available and the scale is appropriate. I ended up putting it on top of a bookcase, photo attached, stuck down to bookcase/lid stuck on base, with earthquake wax, essential for heavy objects placed high up here in California. Read more
