Comfortable and convenient: This headset comes with soft leather ear and head padding that feels very soft and cushy when you're wearing it. The retractable mic is also very cool and convenient, making storing the unit a bit easier as it's less likely to get snagged on a wire or similar. The mic is also flexibly adjustable so you can get the best sound out of speaking by moving it around and finding the sweet spot. The headphones are super comfortable to wear and don't hurt my ears at all, they have an extra wide design that lets the large ear cushions gently rest around your ears and a head cushion. The sound quality is good. It has a volume control built into the cable, this is very useful for games that don't have a volume option and will crash if you try to task switch to the desktop volume control. The earphones can swivel, this is mostly so they can ship it flatter but it also helps with comfort and fit. It has a built in mic that can be recessed out of the way or extended, the extended wire is flexible so the mic can be adjusted as you like. There is also a on-off switch for the mic near the volume control. The headphones have optional lights which are powered by the usb cable, if you prefer no lights the usb can be left unplugged without interfering with the rest of the functions. It includes an adapter to split the combined headphone/mic plug into separate headphone and mic plugs. Read more

Pretty decent headset

I got this as a replacement for an old Microsoft headset that I've had for years. I don't do online gaming, so I haven't used the mic. I won't speak to the quality of that other than to say that the fact it retracts into the headset is very nice because it isn't in my way. However, I can pull it out if I decide to let my son try it for recording some of his videos. The main reason I use this is for the occasions when I like to sit down to play something on the Xbox, but the language might not be something I want my kids hearing. It works well for that purpose. However, I do wish that it would provide more volume. It just isn't that loud and sometimes I want more volume. I have it all the way up all the time, and still it's hard to hear some of the dialogue some times. That's my only realy complaint. The earpads are comfortable even for longer sessions (not that mine are ever that long, so not sure how it would do all day, but it's okay for a couple of hours at least). Read more
