Works as expected and overall does a great job. It has slices through anything and everything thanksgiving worthy. Cons: The potato masher is not really great and just gets clumped up. The real downfall comes with the button. It is a continuous push button and my fingers did not last long with the metal frame the buttons are in. It was a hard push to get it going. I just love this new gadget! Had no idea how many things I would use it for until I opened it up and checked out all the accessories. I only bought it because I needed it for one recipe... Using my Instapot to make homemade apple butter, which uses whole apples quartered up with the peel on. After the apples cook down, the immersion blender is used to puree the mixture (apple pulp & peels). I've also used it to make froth for cappuccinos and whipping egg whites. The packaging was completely sealed and all contents protected with insulated bubble wrap. The quality of this gadget is far above what I expected, it looks like it belongs in a commercial kitchen!
