I was lookin' for a way to tackle the lingering smells from my garbage disposal, and this ACTIVE product really does a good job. It's super easy to use, you just run the hot water, drop a tablet in while it trickles, then flip on the disposal. The foam action is really cool to watch, you know it's getting up in there and cleaning out all the gunk that causes the stink. The citrus scent is nice and fresh and it absolutely eliminates the bad odors right away. My disposal looks and smells much cleaner after just one use, and the instructions say to use it once or twice a month, which the 24-pack makes easy for a whole year. It even seems to help the drain go faster, which is a big plus. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is that the fresh smell don't last as long as I'd like. The disposal is still clean, but the scent fades after a couple days. Still, it works really well and I think it's a great value for the price. Easy to use and works GREAT. I bought these because my grandmother hadn't cleaned her garbage disposal in 4 years of living in her new home. I used to buy the little orbs you can get at the market but this option didn't require a kettle or pan of boiling water to add to the mix, just set the tap to the hottest water setting and drop in 1-2 tablets depending on how bad you've let your disposal get. FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS. We have a two-basin sink and you run the water in the offside basin. The bad smell went away in seconds and hasn't returned. It has been a really long time since I have been this impressed with a product. My garbage disposal does not stink, but it is slimy and gross and it is impossible to clean by hand.
