Great watch. Looks good, band replacement is a snap, with many good looking alternatives from the original. Good looking and useful faces. Battery life is great. Many useful biometrics measured, like HRV and sleep. Exercises easy to select, and not as easy to accidentally wipe workout data with an errant swipe, which was my gripe with my Vivoactive 4. Has frozen step data only once, but seems fine after a reset and updates. Very happy with this watch so far. Only truly frustrating experience I had was trying to order the watch directly from Garmin. Absolutely nothing worked, no method of payment was accepted by their system, like I was some kind of deadbeat or something. I purchased the Garmin Fēnix 8 Pro AMOLED, and unfortunately the unit I received is completely defective. The watch does not function properly and was evaluated in Brazil, where it was confirmed that the issue is not related to the battery, but a hardware defect. I tried to contact customer support to resolve the issue, but the only option available was a return request, which is not feasible since I am currently in Brazil and the product was purchased abroad. I was unable to get proper assistance or an alternative solution. At this point, I am left with a fully defective product and no clear path to resolution. This experience raises serious concerns about the reliability of the seller and quality control of the unit shipped. Very disappointing situation for such an expensive, supposedly premium product. I have Fenix 8 Solar and loved it. But the display wasn't very bright (like Epix). I was so happy when then came out with the Pro, which is twice as bright as regular (The MicroLED is even better, but I can't justify the almost $900 more). It is slightly thicker than the regular Fenix 8 but that is because of the larger battery. Setup was a breeze. For those that are not familiar with Garmin, there can be a learning curve but Garmin and others have tons of videos and great online support. Highly recommend the upgrade for those that want a brighter display, SOS, and phone capability (yes there is an additional service fee for phone and SOS). Read more

I upgraded from Fenix 6X Pro to Fenix 8 Pro and I am very happy with this purchase. The quality of the watch is excellent as what I have expected. I see people complain about the battery life of the Pro version but in my experience after using this for almost a month, the battery lasts for about 25 days with the 'Always On' set to off. The fit is very good and I really like the bigger screen compared to my older fenix. Overall, I am very satisfied and highly recommend this product! Read more
