Amazing tool. Plan to spend some time learning how to use it! Read more
Like the smaller size and weight of the 700 over the 750's, fits very nice in the hand. The radio seems to be very good and features like texting and position sharing make it a great product. The GPS side of the unit seems to be outdated and the same software is used on much older models. Don't expect any maps. On the other hand if all you need is marking waypoints and getting you back out of the woods, which is what I wanted, then it does the job. Wish it had replaceable batteries, when your hunting off road for days there's no way to recharge unless you carry a battery pack and again that adds more weight. If this unit had a color screen and replaceable batteries it would be the perfect unit for what I use it for. If you want maps its not for you. Read more
These work very well. I am using them in the Adirondack mountains and in very rugged terrain, with large amounts of iron deposits and the radio works well. GPS has many functions and works well also. I have only 1 small complaint. That would be, the compass does not work if your not moving. Would recommend to a friend and he now has one… Read more
DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY, DO NOT BUY THIS MODEL Our hunting group has used the Garmin Rino series for decade. I love the product and I'll continue to use them. The model 700 is Terrible! The maps on it sucks, you can't add any layers onto it. Basically all it has is highways, cities, and state lines. Additionally, my battery can't hold a charge; and when it's charging, a message is popping up ever 5 seconds saying that it's not charging. The message clears so fast that I can't click on it, but it pops up again 5 seconds later. AND if you don't have your GPS on silent while charging, every time the message triggers, the damn thing beeps and vibrates. It's ANNOYING AS ALL HELL! Read more
have one all ready works good for a friend!!!! Read more
Underwhelming. The technology in this gps is so far behind. If your goal is to get back to where you started. It’ll do that, just make sure you drop a waypoint as the track otherwise often disappears. The interface is a learning curve for sure. It might prevent you from getting lost. But that’s about it.
