Very happy with purchase
Watch is exactly as described. Looks like new came with manuals, charge cables, and new band. I thought it was easy to set up and link across all of my health apps (was worried as I am a Fitbit user for the last decade). This watch is my first Garmin and is performing perfectly: all of the promises that the Fitbit Versa failed to deliver on. Music storage on watch supported and easy to setup, still has computer access through downloadable app if preferred, and Bluetooth range with synched earbuds is great have used it for a run, a hike and, mowing grass and worked amazingly across all applications. I got the refurbished for a great price and on a Prime deal, so I payed well under a hundred dollars for mine, so definitely a great value. Battery life is much better than the old Versa it replaced. There is not a volume control that I can find, but my earbuds have one them that works great, so no issue. Also there are complaints that you can't control your music while running a workout, this is not true. You can swipe to music control while mid workout and if it is on your favorite screen, it is only one swipe to the left. Hope it lasts for a nice long while. Will update if anything changes. Dexcom intergration
Received this watch as a renewed item from Tech-Boutique and it was in brand new condition, in original box with the charging cable (kinda short though) and instruction manual as well. The only reason for purchasing this was to be able to view my glucose readings from a Dexcom G6 cgm. There are many horror stories about connecting the app through various watches, so I had some trepidation's. Using the Connect IQ app I installed the Dexcom CGM app and the Dexcom Watch face from the Connect store after going into the IQ store/My Device/My Device apps/Dexcom CGM app/Settings and changing the defaults to my values, I was in business! Pleasantly Surprised
Why did you pick this product vs others?: I picked this product because the name. Garmin is a great product but I was concerned about it being "renewed". I have to say I have pleasantly pleased with it. It works great in water. I only have two issues: the battery does not last 6 days like it states - it's more like 3-4 but it works for what I wanted it for and of course it records my arm movements too much rather than my body so my steps are overstated. Venu2 Music...get if you're a runner!
Even tho it was a refurbished I've had no issues thus far and saved myself some money to upgrade from the regular Venu2. If you're a runner this is great for those long runs! Read more
