Good price for a stainless steel trash can of this quality. It's the perfect size for 13 gallon bags, and is short enough to fit neatly in an under-counter nook with enough space to open the lid. The brushed steel doesn't seem to readily pick up or show fingerprints, and easily wipes clean with a damp rag. This was shipped in a fairly stout cardboard box with shaped EPS packing "blocks" and reinforced corners - so it really isn't surprising that it arrived in perfect condition. The step-open lid works flawlessly, though it seems just a tad "stiff." I discovered that this is because, unlike the can it replaced, this can has a soft-close lid. Additionally, the "inner can" makes swapping and securing bags a breeze. Really, there's just a lot of intent, thought, and good design put into this trash can that it surprised me. Read more

It looks good. You have to wiggle the liner into place just right or the lid won’t close, but I think it will work when I get the hang of it. I would buy it again. Read more

We have used the trash can for about a week or two, and so far it functions fine and looks great. The size and fit are great. It is also sturdy and opens and closes quietly. We are still trying to get the hang of installing bags. With practice, we do not anticipate a problem. The jury is still out on longevity. This is a very nice trash can set! Well worth the money! It looks great in the kitchen with the stainless steel appliances. The small one is the perfect size for our master bathroom. The only issue I have is that when you step on it to open it, it "walks" back closer and closer to the wall, which is exactly what I didn't want. Our last trash can did that and left black marks on the painted wall! We just had the house repainted, and I was hoping it wouldn't do that on our laminate floors, but it does! The only way we could keep it away from the wall, (and believe me when I say we tried everything and nothing worked), was to use a boot tray which wouldn't allow it to move back any further because the boot tray has a rim that keeps it away from the wall. I don't understand why the makers of these trash cans can't find a way to keep that from happening! Read more

LOVE LOVE LOVE. If I could give 10 stars, I would. This is one of the best purchases I've made in a while. I was worried I'd receive a dented can like some other reviewers mentioned, but I received a pristine can. Great quality! The standard 13 gallon kitchen trash bag fits PERFECTLY in this can. The slow close is perfect and silent and has not changed in the last couple of months since I've started using it. The only thing I dislike is that there's a tiny little ledge in the back center where the hinge is and sometimes when I throw food too far back, it gets in there and is a pain to get it out, but that's on me. I also love that this can opens so big. My previous can only opened like 60 degrees, and this opens almost fully. Not quite 90 degrees, but pretty close. If you're on the fence, buy it! I got the 13 gal trash can in the black metal and, after using for several months, just LOVE it. My last stainless steel can from a well-known big box store was over twice this price with a pedal that broke in months. THIS can seems very sturdy with a nicely designed pedal. I love the black as you can't see the drippings and smears that always occur with cooking like you can on silver stainless steel. The shape fits nicely against my cabinet without sticking out too much. The lid is well-adjusted to slowly close at a good speed. It has an inside liner which removes easily to change bags.
