We ordered this to cover a hardwood floor in the dining room after our old rug was just too beat up and stained to bother with. I loved the floral pattern and colors of the flowers, but I absolutely loved that the background was black. You can get black rugs but they're typically a boho or modern pattern, or solid black, which is just too much black. The floral design breaks up the darkness while still allowing for a rug dark enough to withstand kids dropping food. The one area that gave me pause was the border. It's not fantastic looking in the pictures; kind of looks out of place, like they just threw some random pattern on without thought. However, in person, it's actually pretty nice and does blend cohesively with the rest of the rug. The rug is thin, but it is low pile so that makes sense. It's a great size for the price. It does have a non-slip backing that is actually non-slip. It says it's machine washable but I ordered the 5x7, which is kind of big for my washing machine. I have spot cleaned it as needed, and have had no problems with that. This is a great rug, especially at this price. It's pretty, resists stains, is big, is soft on my feet, doesn't slide around. We wanted to get a good full size room rug for the wood floor for the winter. This good large size rug would cover most of the room the piano does not. The design is interesting. You get the scalloping which lends a different look to the rug instead of the tassels you most often see. The brown background adds a quite warm contrast to the flowers. I know this isn't the quality of Persian Rugs, but it looks quite nice, and it still functions as a rug. Will it last for 100 years like those kind of rugs? I have no idea. Things today are not built or made to to that. This rug does seem durable enough for what I would want it to do though, and it doesn't look like it is going to fall apart. The finish is nice and soft to walk on, even though it is not an overly thick rug. They also claim it is machine washable. It will do the job. I have similar made rugs that I have had for over a year, and of course, there is no visible wear and it looks as good as new. I am sure for the price, it offers excellent value. I would have no problem in ordering more of these quality level of rugs for the house. I like that most doors will swing over the top of these, unlike some of the Persian rugs. They do come in other designs, by the way, so you are not locked into this design. I like this one though. Read more

I received this Garvee area rug, and it's perfect for my room; It has a beautiful pattern of leaves and tree branches with colors like green, beige, brown, and blue, which are much better for the fall and winter than my old white rug that my dog kept getting dirty; It's a low pile, machine washable rug with a non-slip backing, and it's both kid and pet friendly, which is great because my dog can be messy; It's also stain resistant; I got the 5x7 size, which is a little smaller than my old rug, but it works just fine because I put it in front of my chaise lounge; This way, when I stand up, I don't need slippers, and it's nice and soft on my feet. It will lay flat after a couple of days it’s not overly heavy but seems quite durable. Rugs are a great thing to change the look and style of a room and this one does just that for mine.You can tell it’s not a Persian rug but it’s not supposed to be. This rug and its colorful design were the perfect addition to my wife's classroom. The scalloped edge is so cute, and a really unique feature. The texture is soft, and it can be easily moved. My only note would be that because I sit in a roller chair, the rug shifts a good bit so at some point during the day I need to pull it back into place, but right tape could fix that and it's not enough of an issue to make me not like the rug It is soft to walk on and easy to vacuum and keep clean.
