I needed a carpet to put in my dining room over top of my wall-to-wall carpeting. I saw this carpet and ordered the 5x7 size in the blue/Gary color. The carpet is made out of polyester but it really resembles wool. It is a very low pile of about ¼ inch and feels very soft when you walk on it. There is a rubber backing that prevents the carpet from sliding even when I place it on top of other carpeting. I also tested this on the hard floor in my kitchen and it never slid there either. The flora pattern on this carpet reminds me of a vintage carpet with a slightly distressed look. This gives it a very elegant look so you can put this carpet anywhere. It is perfect for a den, living room, or even a bedroom. The pile seems very solid with no shedding at all. I do like that this carpet is washable. You can wash this in your washing machine with cold water. I am very happy with this carpet. The price is very fair and it looks great. I do recommend it. This rug is not only good-looking. It does everything you want from a value-priced item too! The colours are really well done. The rug is very soft. Frankly at this price I don't know how they achieve those results. Whether a human or a cat, everyone seems to enjoy walking or lying down on it. Wrinkles don't last long. Within 30 minutes of unpackaging and laying flat almost all wrinkles were gone. 3 hours later and they have all disappeared with minimal effort (literally having someone stand on one end and pulling on the other a bit). This rug also doesn't slide around on wooden floors or tile. It has just enough tackiness to stay put and not become a slipping danger. I've been using one of these Garvey home rugs for a few months now and it's holding up great. It's very thin so you don't have to worry about blocking your doorways. It's nice and soft to walk on but not too soft to where it feels slippery sometimes these rugs feel slippery when you get them. It's a very good quality of color and the pattern is a nice design this fits perfectly into my kitchen to cover the whole floor. One thing I've noticed is that much like walking on a tile floor you feel everything that has hit the floor. Nothing is getting lost in the pile of this rug because there is none. This rug was purchased to cover the floor of our family room. I was impressed by the softness of the material. The design, while busy, is not garish or obnoxious and fits the muted theme of the room nicely. It does travel across the floor some as people walk, but that could be rectified by adding floor tape, I believe. It is not a rug you can vacuum due to its thinness, but we have a hand held roller brush that picks up the dog fur that winds up on it. It is not horribly bulky, so also easy to drag out to our porch and beat with a rug beater as needed. It is a touch spendy, but I believe the quality matches the price. Most rugs are not particular cheap, if you want something that lasts. Read more
