This is a quality rack with a nice finish (mine is the nickle satin over brass). It is a little smaller than I thought it would be-- The sides where it attaches to the wall are about 4 1/2 inches and the diagonal face is 6 1/2 inches. Big enough for a bar of soap and a razor but little else. I guess I will buy the matching 9 1/2 inch one to hold my shampoo and conditioner. Mounting hardware supplied including threaded screw covers--nice touch. Read more

Bought this and another size to install in a newly tiled shower to use as a soap holder and shampoo/ conditioner bottles holder. They are very nice looking (brushed nickel to match the showere head and valve) and functional. The water drains through so it does not turn the soap soggy, or accumulate pools of water around the bottles. They also provide covers for the screw heads so there is less chance for water to seep behind the tile. Great Quality, very happy with product Read more

This is very nice and solid made corner basket. But the color is a bit nickel-like, rather then chrome. We also bought Better Living Bath Boutique Traditional Soap Basket, Chrome - which is a true chrome color and matches our chrome fixtures. This shelf does not match them. It is not a true nickel, but I would not call it chrome either. Read more

It's well made with excellent chrome plating. However, its quite small. The grid does not come out to the ends of the frame and you lose another inch as the grid is tilted at the outer end. Basically it will hold one shampoo bottle and that's it for anything larger than a shaver or toothbrush. Then there's the basic design. The outer ends come in from the wall, do not have a bottom grid and are spears ready to stab you if you get too close. Read more

I installed two of these in my master shower. I would definitely recommend. 9-1/8" is the dimension across the front edge really isn't that big, but it functions great for holding a bottle or two of shampoo etc. They are extremely well built, including the way the screw heads, have thread on chrome covers. Installation is straight forward. I would recommend having these tools... -1/4" hammer drill -punch -silicon Use the punch to score the tile where you will drill. Us the hammer drill to create the hole in the tile/stone etc. If you don't hit a stud, you will need the wall molly's that come with the kit. Squirt a dab of silicon in the hole where the molly will mount, to help prevent water penetration. Install the molly's in the hole and squirt another dab of silicon in the back of the molly, and then moun the basket and attach to the wall. Then use the chrome caps to cover the screw heads. Looks great out of the box - but when I put it up to the 90 degree angle in my tile tub surround, it did not fit the corner. Off by 1/4 inch which is a LOT. In addition, you have to install it with 4 screws which means a lot of holes in the surround when it is completely unnecessary for a bar of soap and a razor. Finally, the seals for the screws show when the basket is mounted into the wall. Will be returning it. And the other Gatco basket I bought had exactly the same problems! Not squared up for a corner. I purchased this to complement the larger corner basket from Gatco that I installed previously. This one is just the right size for a bar of soap and was easy to install. Read more
