I hope no one in my family or friends finds out how much I spent on a freaking trash can but I sleep better at night knowing I own it. Just get it...this is a grown up trash can and you are a grown up! I got black bags and the top is what makes this can special, hiding and holding the bag. Can is heavy, wont fall over for sure. I love it. Nice matte finish too, very sleek. updated review now that ive 'taken the trash out' for the first time....one complaint in design flaw. the top edge of the can (when the top cover is removed) has a lip, about 1/3 inch. so while you're pulling out your trash bag, contents in the bag snag on the edge of this lip. this is maddening. I had to wiggle bag and even push the trash inward on all 4 sides to get it out. meanwhile the trash bag ripped. the only way to avoid this in the future will be to never fully fill the trash-so the bag's contents will be much smaller than the opening. I think im going to line the inside edge with duct tape or something to create a smooth passage out and up for the bags. such a shame! there is NO REASON for this lip in the design. This is an expensive trash can but it sure looks nice in my newly renovated bathroom. It solves the problem of the liner bag hanging over the outside and looking sloppy - which is not a look I wanted. I looked at this for a while and then bit the bullet and got it. The size and shape and features are exactly what I needed and it definitely was worth it. When my adult daughter (who’s pretty picky), she wanted one like it for her own bathroom - alas, it was no longer available; she’s said that she wants it when I’m no longer here!!!! It’s that nice! this is a great garbage can. it’s narrow and fits into a small space between my toilet and vanity. i love that the lid hides the garbage bag. it’s really so much nicer than seeing a plastic bag folded over or knotted at the top of a can. the lid also does a great job keeping the bag in place.
