Absolutely amazing scale for the price and ease of use. I greatly prefer it to my $250 espresso scale as I am able to weigh my spouted portafilter for Barista Pro and not with the costly scale. Even if it does not last long 1-2 years or so for the price it is very hard to beat. I think it rather amazing that this scale is reproducible at .01g and yet the $250 one is unusable because of such wild fluxuations. I just tested and 50 gm said 50.00 4x and 100 said 100.00 and 200 said 199.97-200.00 .. Scale is not water resistant so I always use the plastic cover as a weighing platform. Read more

The media could not be loaded. I am very impressed with the precision and accuracy of this scale. It measures objects up to 502.00 grams (slightly above the stated limit) in 0.01 gram intervals, with a margin of error of about about 0.1% ± 0.03 grams. For everyday uses, such as measuring the mass of smaller objects, it does a great job. I use it to measure the mass of loose-leaf tea leaves I use, while making tea - I found out that I've been using a lot more tea leaves than I should, the whole entire time. (Now, my tea tastes much better!) It's also great if you're trying to measure food portions, since very few people actually know what x grams of food looks like. Units of measurement include grams, ounces, troy ounces, dwt (whatever that is), carats, and grains (a unit of measurement). The scale also comes included with a counting feature - if you're trying to count a large quantity of small *uniformly-weighted* objects (e.g. dimes, pills, etc...), you can place 25, 50, 75, or 100 of that object on the scale, set it, and then place a larger quantity of that object on the scale; depending on the calculated mass per object, the scale will tell you how many of that object is on that scale. I can confirm that this feature absolutely works - in my experience, it took about 2 minutes to get the scale to count 239 pills, which was confirmed and verified by a hand count that took 17 minutes. The scale also includes a tare function (which is a standard, basic function), in case you have to set the mass to 0, to account for whatever objects on the scale you don't actually want to measure the mass of. Lastly, the scale does come pre-calibrated, but just to be safe, you should order this scale with a set of calibration weights just in case - for its normal intended uses, I recommend the HFS Scale Balance 8 Piece Set With Case, which comes included with weights of 500 g, 200 g, 100 g (x2), 50 g, 20 g (x2), and 10 g. UPDATE: After calibrating the scale, using the aforementioned calibration weights from HFS, the scale works perfectly - I managed to eliminate the 0.1% error. However, due to the degree of sensitivity of the scale, the ± 0.03 grams error still remains (but that's really only an issue with objects of greater mass). Also, for best results, make sure the objects to be measured are placed on the center of the scale. Read more

I just received this scale today. I tested it on several fishing lures and It works great so far. It has a stable consistent reading at 0.01g accuracy that is repeatable. It seems to be pretty darn accurate. I ordered and returned other brands that did not work. This one is the best one I have gotten. Read more

This is one of the better cheapo scales I've used, if not the best. Weighing surface: Nice, large, stainless steel weighing surface. It doesn't feel cramped like most of the other scales around this size. The surface is brushed from front to back and isn't totally smooth, especially when moving a finger across it from side-to-side. It isn't rough either, but you can feel the brushed finish. This doesn't seem to affect it's tendency to collect dirt and grime at all. It has stayed nice and shiny for me. The surface sits low against the body of the scale with only about a 1.5-2mm gap. Peeking into that gap, it appears t that the weighing surface is attached to the sensor by a single, central post. Though, it does not feel weak or flimsy. Especially not at the weight-range for which this scale is used. Display: Clear and legible and a nice shade of blue. To my eye, the product images accurately portray the color. Weight is displayed using the age-old LCD numbers we all know so well. The screen space is used well (no tacky unused space) and the numbers are large and legible. Response & Behavior: THIS is where this scale blows me away and leaves the other's in it's dust! Holy CRAP, this thing reads quickly! There's very little wait from when you place an item on the surface until the total weight is displayed. I never even realized how slow other scales were until now! In addition, where other scales choke up when you change the weight mid-weigh, this scale happily continues to report changes with incredible swiftness. I haven't been able to confuse it yet! Accuracy: It accurately reports the weight of every calibration weight I have. I'm satisfied! Overall: Stupendous value for the price! Snag it now before they realize they could be charging double what they are. Disclaimer: I bought this scale with my own money. I mean, how do these people finagle all this free junk in exchange for reviews? No, seriously, if anyone knows what you have to do to just get sent free stuff, I would love to know! My review is honest and hasn't become bias due to my distinct and utter lack of free stuff. Promise. Read more
