I looked around online and this one was large and 1/2" thicker than most others. Also had really good reviews. It looked better than many others I viewed and it is a big hit with my husband. 8/21/25 update: This is the best cushion for sitting that I have found. My but hurts if I sit on a hard surface, so I'm always on the look out for chairs or seat cushions that can help. Most cushions get compressed or the gel cushion is too thin. This one is thick and really helps. I bought two of these. Edit 8/2/25: The chemical smell is mostly gone after rinsing and airing out overnight. Remove the cover and wash separately. Rinse and air out the gel without the cover. Original review: Seat cushion is big and comfortable. I havenʻt spent a lot of time sitting on it, but it looks very promising. One issue is the chemical smell. It is very strong and concerning, so I took it outside to spray down with the garden hose. Iʻll report back to say if that did the trick. Oh, by the way, the smell comes from the gel, not the cover. I use this on my roll around work stool. Very comfortable and really nice cooling effect in the summer. Easy enough to grab off of my roller stool and toss on top of my pack out when working in the field. Really like the beaded “grip” on one side to help keep it in place. Read more

This Gel Seat is worth every dollar! Nobody likes to spend more money than they need to which is why we have tried several different types that look similar but were more affordable and been disappointed. I and can tell you with a great deal of confidence that the Hvllyan gel seat cushion surpasses them all and is well worth spending a little more money. The difference is amazing. I use it on my desk chair, out on the patio in a wicker chair, even at the dinner table. It keeps my bum from going numb and my legs from aching. We loved it so much we got my 86 year old mom 2 of them. One for her recliner and one for the chair she sits in will eating. I was starting to get soreness in my tailbone area after sitting for long hours on my sofa while reading. I'm also recuperating from surgery so I needed something soft but also had support as well. This gel cushion is perfect. I also didn't want a thick car seat feel on my sofa that it would make indentations. It s great cause I'm sinking into it and my back bone and buttucks feels great after almost all day on couch. I can't say it'll be good for hard surfaces though on that note.
