This is pure magic. I've been suffering digestive problems for so long, and was convinced I'd have to stay away from junkfood and stay on a strict diet for a long time while I sorted them out. Was getting full too easily, staying full and bloated for too long after eating carbs, had a sluggish digestive system, and would frequently get a burning/tightness in the corner of my stomache (most likely gastritis). AND I've lost too much weight. I heard about bitters and wanted to try them, but was afraid they would damage my stomach and cause more problems so I held off on it. But after using this, I feel cured. My appetite is coming back when using it. I tested this with a big piece of chocolate cake, and had NO problems digesting it. I was shocked beyond belief, as well as ecstatic. The next day I had some trouble after another meal, and took this, and felt better in no time. No annoying pills to swallow, no waiting for days or weeks to see results, an instant 15-30 mins and BAM all problems out the window. It's not too tough to drink straight either, tastes like those medicines that are flavored like earwax. I swish it around my tongue a bit, swallow, and leave the taste on my tongue for about 15 mins before eating (I only do that cuz I've read that leaving the bitter taste on your tongue helps activate your digestive system). It works well after eating too! Thank God for bitters. I guess my stomache's acid was too low, and this helps set things right again. Will continue to take this, hopefully my body will learn to make enough acid on it's own, if not I'll just keep taking Gentian or whatever bitters I can get my hands on. I have always appreciated both the gastronomic and ayurvedic properties of bitters, particularly gentian root, the main ingredient found in Angorastura. The soft drink Moxie also contains gentian root, and is a pleasant (albeit different) alternative to regular colas. Up until recently, I reluctantly used Angorastura (despite containing alcohol), because I didn't think I could find pure gentian root extract without alcohol - I thought it was a component of the extraction process. I am so glad I did a search on Amazon, because this product fills the bill, and then some! Add a few drops to Coke, and viola! You got Moxie! Add some to ginger ale, and get an extra kick, which will not only go down easy, but your tummy will love you for it! And hey, if you do consume an alcoholic beverage or two, this bottle should last you much longer than the alcohol-infused bitters you will find at your local supermarket or liquor store. So this product is truly amazing! The bitterness with a nice glass of water is tough but it does not last too long. As time goes on, I am able to handle the bitterness better. My first BM with this product was amazing! It was like sludge, and it’s not like I haven’t been cleaning out by eating tons of fruits and veggies prior. So I will continue to use this product. My naturopathic doctor suggested it because I suffer from heartburn when I eat meat and dairy products. I am not suffering anymore, when I take this product. I take it 15 minutes before eating, along with my other enzymes, and I have very good results. I did consume some sweets a few days after starting this product and I really did not enjoy the taste of the chocolate chip cookies. I was only trying to eat them so that they would be gone out of the house. I don’t normally crave sweet foods, but now I know I won’t be eating any more sweets because of this product. I did feel some slight nausea but I think that is due to a mucus buildup due to me eating foods that I have a sensitivity to . I don’t think that I will continue to deal with the nausea once my body is flushed of the toxic food that I have been consuming. People should keep in mind that this cleanses the liver, which means that you will have some detoxing symptoms. Depending on what toxic things you have consumed, or have been around, your symptoms will vary from other peoples symptoms. My suggestion is to try taking some been tonight clay to help flush the toxins out of your body. I know it works because that is what I am doing. Digestive relief! Finally! This Alcohol-Free Gentian is a wonderful product. Betaine Hydrochloride capsules, Swedish Bitters capsules, Vinegar, Lemon Juice, or anything in an alcohol tincture would set off a painful reaction in my esophagus. I knew the glycerin carrier would solve the alcohol issue. But I was worried that the Gentian itself might cause problems (I have several food sensitivities). I’m happy to report that: 1. No throat pain at all. 2. I like its taste (I put the drops on a spoon and coat my tongue before meals). 3. The Gentian gets the stomach working; at 20 drops my stomach had a warm but pain-free sensation for a few hours after dinner. Read more
