We use this on our white sun-sensitive dog. We apply it early before we go to the boat or in the pool. She has not had any allergic reaction and it seems to keep her from getting sunburned, although we rarely leave her in the sun for long. We do re-apply this product often. My dog's fur was shaved in a small spot because of a medical procedure. I was told to use sunscreen on this area so I was happy to find a dog-safe sunscreen. Gentle Creatures is easy to apply to the area and has a pleasant scent. It does help moisturize the skin and keep it soft. It seems to be effective as a sunscreen but I need to disclose that I keep my dog's walks short - no longer than 10 minutes during the hot, sunny days. Very nice quality. The sprayer sprays enough to coat but not so much as to be wet. It smells pleasant and goes on well. It does NOT leave a residue on my almost-hairless dog and it does help with limiting sunburn. Works well for my mostly white dog. In the past her snout got burned from being in the sun. Used this sunscreen while at the lake and her snout didn’t burn. A win win! My only wish was that it was in the form of lotion. It would be easier to spread it on her face. Read more

My pets don't like it, but I like knowing they have some coverage on their bald ears when they lay in the sun. Glad there is a product specifically for pets. Vet reccomended sunscreen for baby, but I like this better. Also easier to apply, being a spray. My tiny dog Squirt saw a Izard in the backyard once, so now she spends hours a day trying to find another one. It can get very hot in Woodland Hills, CA in the summer, so I figured she needed protection. So far, so good.
