i have been wearing one all day to keep my head warm- it's really stretchy- i have not been wearing it as a balaclava- have been wearing it as a hat (not covering my face) it has kept my head warm all day and has not fallen off or slipped or moved. LOVE it. i have been inside mostly but i did have to go outside periodically so i cannot speak to it's usefulness while doing serious outdoor activities but i love it. i live in an old house and i do wear a hat and sweater in the house November through march because it would cost way too much to make it warm enough in here to wear a t shirt all year round. (my Powerball fantasy is literally cranking the heat so i CAN wear only a t-shirt and shorts indoors all year! ) when i got them i washed them in hot water and put them in the dryer and they came out great.
