My use for this coffee table was a simple design media stand to put my stereo system and record stand onto. And for this use it's perfect. I love the classic design and the height as it fits in perfectly with my TV stand and allows access to records and the turntable. The materials are very sturdy and the construction is sound. Assembly was very straightforward and reminiscent of a particular swedish brand many are familiar with. No extra tools are required which is ideal. The drawer, when pulled out, doesn't cause an imbalance of the table and it pulls out all the way to allow for great access to the contents inside. I especially like the cubby / drawer combination look from the front as it appeals to the eye when offset next to my TV stand. This allowed me to have quick access products on the right and the secure access media on the left for less needed items. I have no doubt this table will last as Ive already witnessed children climbing on top with no sign of buckling or wear points. TL;DR: Really great table and it looks a lot more than it's worth. I got this table to replace one my previous roommates broke and let me tell you, I love it. It's super cute and if I could attach pictures and not show my ugly carpet, I would. It looks a lot more than you pay for it and it has a lot of space on it for both decorations, storage, and drinks. It's super convenient and I can tell this would look great in any space. The assembly was easy too because my boyfriend set it up while I was at work and he didn't have any problems putting it together. Nice table, easy assembly, but the walnut color they show is not what you will receive. If you don't think about the color walnut, which is quite dark you will think you are getting what the picture shows, which is MUCH lighter. See my photo for the actual color, which may still appear a little lighter than what you will receive. I did send a note to the seller who did respond promptly with a small credit offer. Read more
UPDATE: After contacting Giantex, posting a 1 star review, and sending them pictures of how I received their product, they requested to send me a new coffee table, which I gladly accepted. When the new one arrived, my teen was leery of any dirt spots on it because of how the first one arrived, but they were very minor compared to the first product. There were also no smears all over it like the first one. My teen was able to put it together in about 3 hours. The only tool she used was an electric (not necessary) Phillips screwdriver. It is sturdy and well made. She loves it for her black and white themed classroom. It was a huge inconvenience and total gross factor, arriving in blood, then contacting them, proving how it arrived, receiving the new one, etc. With that said, I do like it and may order another one for my garage, as it is cute and a decent price. ORIGNINAL POST: I sent this message to Giantex today: Today I received my Giantex Rectangular Coffee Table, Wood Sofa Side Table w/Drawer & Storage Shelf, Center Table w/Open Cubby, Home TV Stand for Living Room, Bedroom and it was delivered FILTHY and covered in dried BLOOD and tons of smears/streaks/swirls which appear to be remnants of attempted cleaning. My teenager was the one who unpacked it out in the garage, and she came in and told me that the pieces were really dirty. I did not know it was blood, so I told her to wipe the pieces down. We live in the desert and sometimes things will arrive pretty dusty. After she attempted to clean them, she came back and told me that the “dirt” would not come off. So, I went out to help her and that is when I realized it was dried BLOOD!!! This is beyond UNACCEPTABLE!! Not only is it utterly disgusting but a total HEALTH HAZARD! I told her to wash her hands, take a few pictures, and throw it away, as we would not be further handling an item covered in dried BLOOD as you CAN get diseases from dried blood just like from fresh blood!! And who knows what is in that blood!? As a daughter of someone who owns/runs their own business for over 30 years, I am in utter disbelief that a company would send out such a disgusting piece of furniture and be so irresponsible. I am even more repulsed that my teenager handled this item, not knowing that the "dirt" was BLOOD! And not only did several pieces have blood, but the rest of them had swirls/streaks/smears ALL OVER them. These streaks/swirls/smears also would NOT come off!!
