As we know every time we deal with this situation..Breaking a bolt head off or stripping out the head of a screw..Each instance has it's own drama..Sometimes vice grips is your savior other times it's down right drilling and rethreading which is always my last resort..Read some reviews that were negative about extractors of any brand then come to find out what they were working on and the most important thing most are missing the point of is.. what they are drilling into..Car bolts are almost always the hardest steel..Anyway don't give up too easy as most important is the speed of the drill and even more than that, it is patience.. I have several stripped screws to remove from a vintage workbench. I bought this kit based on reviews and will say that it works well. Directions are on the case and it is simple to use. Despite the directions saying extraction should be at a slow speed, I had to use my impact driver to remove the screws. I did maintain as slow of a speed as I could. I would’ve given this 5 stars, but being a female who does all of her home remodeling, repairs and custom woodworking, I have grown tired of everyone assuming only men can do these things. Read more
