I have odd issues with my hands … a little arthritis, the start of dupuytren's contracture, and just a sprinkle of spasms on occasion. I am a computer programmer so my hands are my money makers. I thought it might be nice to see if this pampering device offered any relief to my aches. My observations … - The device was large enough to fit my hand and wrist with room to spare. I have medium sized female hands if that helps gauge sizing. - The instructions were good and even included a picture of hand acupressure points. Very cool. - The male/female switch … not sure why it needs to know my gender but the thing won't run unless I select a gender. I may try a test run as the opposite gender just to see what happens. - There is an SOS button on the bottom side of this thing. THIS I wanted to test. While it is running the device gets a pretty good hold on your hand. The SOS button deflates the device a bit so you can get your hand out if needed. - When I removed my hands there were little dots/divots in my skin. It didn't hurt and it went away quickly. I only went half strength and saw them. I am going to work my way up to full intensity. I look forward to using this in the future when my hands need some TLC. Read more
This device is designed to massage hands by using an internal air bag which inflates to squeeze and deflates to release air which creates a massaging sensation. The two in-house adults liked the unit which provided a decent massage and comforting heat. If interested more details follow. Included in this set are the massaging unit, a 2 1/2 foot USB A to USB C charging cable and a User Manual. The LCD touchscreen on the top of the unit houses the controls for operation which include male/female, massage mode (press to cycle through 4 intensities), heating (2 levels), timing which may be set for 5, 10 or 15 minutes and a display of the remaining battery capacity. A fully charged battery displays 4 bars on the control panel and the device is now ready to use by placing either hand inside the device. Press the touchscreen power button, select male or female, the desired massage mode with 1 the weakest and 4 the most intense, press the time to select length of the session and heat if desired. The first heat level is very mild and the second level provides noticeable warmth but it is never hot. For reference I am a female and wear medium size gloves and my male counterpart wears between medium and large size gloves and the unit accommodated both hand sizes. I tried all the levels of the massage and preferred the first two because three and four were quite intense. However if I’ve strained my wrist, etc. the higher levels may provide welcome relief. The male in residence preferred level 4 and said it helped his fingers and thumb which had some tightness and felt looser after the session. The settings can all be changed in real-time so adjustments are easy to alter. Overall it is if nothing else, soothing whether used with or without the heat feature. The booklet instructs not to use it for more than 30 minutes at a time and remove watches and jewelry before use. On the bottom of the unit is an SOS Push button release valve if needed. There is no drawstring bag or protective case included although it does arrive in a carton that could be used for storage. This hand and wrist massager provides a good hand and wrist massage that helps reduce the carpal tunnel issues that I’m having. This massager has 4 levels of pressure intensity and two levels of heat. I had tried all 4 intensity levels and level 4 really tries to squeeze the life out of your hands and wrist. I recommend that you find what is most comfortable for you. The heat level I had on the high setting and it was warm but not quite hot as some other massagers I’ve used where it can be almost burning. The heat on the device is mild in my book. This device also has a timer setting of 5, 10, or 15 mins of operation before it turns off. I let it perform a massage for 15 mins and it did auto shut off so that’s good if you fall asleep while getting your massage. The massager does the hand first, followed by wrist massage and then it does hand and wrist; this massage pattern repeats throughout the massage time. This massager has a nice colored display and easy to select buttons. The one negative that I have for this massager is that my hand was too big that I could not rest my palm on the palm rest inside of the device. All in all I really like this hand and wrist massager, it provides a good massage and I like how the level 4 intensity is on this device. Quite the experience using this "little massager". It definitely has some power behind it if you choose the max setting and the "male" option. I was genuinely surprised how strong it was able to squeeze my hand. It typically alternates between your fingers, palm, and writs my filling pouches with air to achieve compression. And the process does seem to help with muscle pain in your hands. You also have the option to add two levels of heat, but be warned, it takes a long time for it to really kick in and you could get a bit sweaty on the max setting without even realizing it. I like that it has a timer on it too, just so that you don't unintentionally overdo it. It is quite large, but it isn't overly heavy. It has grips on the bottom which seems to indicate that it is best used on a flat surface like a table. But I'll be honest, it works just fine in your lap if you want to go for comfort. And in this orientation, it is easier to press the red "SOS" button on the bottom to shut it off if you panic. Display is nice and crisp, very intuitive controls, and can conveniently charge using a USB-C cable (charge brick not included). I want to say it feels a bit pricey, but it is a pretty unique item, so maybe the slightly higher cost is justified. See if you can grab one on sale though. Read more
