My desk and work area is next to a nice, big window. I get a nice, big view! In the winter, however, I also get all the usual draftiness and chill from having a nice, big window. Tried out this space heater to see if I could warm up my corner; it works exceptionally well. The thermostat is an adjustable dial to allow for more precise temperature control. It has a fan-only setting and two power levels; I almost always use the lower one. I've accidentally kicked the heater over - it was fine, so I appreciate the strong durability. After a set number of hours, it will auto shut off, which is good because I will absolutely forget it's still on. And of course, there is a sensor under the unit that turns off automatically if it's tipped over. Safety first! This was a great buy for the value - it's durable, it heats very quickly, and it makes my nook much more cozy. Read more
Pretty Good Little Heater
I am surprised at the amount of heat produced. The sound is a little quieter than a microwave oven in operation, not whisper quiet, but not particularly offensive. It's relatively small and lightweight so moving around is effortless. The one point to pay particular attention to is when shutting down. Turn the heat selector to heat off, but allow the fan to continue running for a few seconds to cool down the unit.
