I suck at putting my trash into the trash across the bathroom. I know totally lame but it's my reality. This little trash has changed that for me. It is the perfect size and is strong. It changes under my sink from the cabinet door. Lid closes well. It holds the trash bag perfectly! It is also super easy to clean & change the bag! Doesn't have a weird smell and functions perfectly! This little guy is amazing. Handsome, right size, smart. And the elegant, subtle, and strengthenting detail of the delicate fluting across the front? Truly, it is beautiful--and useful. And while it was William Morris who taught us to “Have nothing in your houses that you do not know to be useful or believe to be beautiful," I, a stranger from the internet, am teaching you: I know you need to have this useful wastebasket in your house, beautiful! If you're waffling, put the syrup on and order! In my crafting closet/pantry/vestibule to the backyard, I have made-do for a trash can with variations of a cardboard box, plastic tray, shoebox, grocery bag, or, my boyfriend's favorite, the floor. Over the years, it felt like "there is a trash can in the kitchen and on the porch, why would I add one to this darling interstitial space?" or "there's no room for a trash can here, the whole room is a hallway" or even "I don't have a garbage can in the kitchen, but an undercounter basket. Why would this room need such luxury?" Finally, this year, upon completing my elaborate and spontaneous Día de los Muertos Ofrenda, and aforementioned boyfriend nearly lacerating himself on a spare bit of sawn-off ABS plastic toy, I decided: a trashcan is merited. I truly love this guy! It is stuck firmly to the door, and the lid is just amazing. So easy and intuitive and smooth to open one handed or with the foot. Even cooler to leave it open while you sand or saw or simply dust. It really is remarkable. Now, quality of construction was an issue and I did have to use a file to get excess glue out of the attachment piece so the can would hang level. The alternative was to use the molded over-cabinet hook, but these 1930 cabinets are thicker than the IKEA variety, or to hang the plastic hook crooked to the can hung straight. I plan on removing this trashcan during our world-famous neighborhood garden parties, so an off-kilter plastic sticker was unconscionable (in fact I waited six days to stick the sticker at all, it's mildly offensive--but in dim lighting who would see it? Anywho, love this little baby. Even if it was his fault for almost cutting his foot. I have offered, time and again, use of any of my pairs of transitional season weather house Tevas! Read more

Awesome little trash can. We have this mounted on the door under our sink in our camper and it's nice and compact. Fits a walmart or any other kind of plastic shopping bag perfectly. The lid is great. You can either open it up to throw something quickly or slide it forward to keep it open. Seems pretty sturdy so far and is well made. Read more

Great size, price, and quality! I bought two. I put one in the bathroom on the side of the cabinet so it’s easier to clean the bathroom floors. And I put the other on the wall near my kitchen sink for compost! It’s so durable and easy to take off and put on to the plastic that sticks to the wall. And I love that it has a lid! Read more

This is the second time I've purchased a Glad Roomate waste bin. This particular bin holds 12 liters of trash (3.1 gallons) and is so convenient to use and easy to clean. I appreciated using a smaller Glad Roomate waste bin, so I decided to also acquire this bigger bin. In our opinion, the pure white color of these bins fit well in just about any room. The mobility of the bin's lid is a positive feature, the bin's construction seems to be a sturdy plastic material that is also lightweight, and the bin's lack of sharp corners gives it an aesthetic appearance. The smaller bin is still enduring in usefulness, so I expect this larger bin to be equally functional and durable. Read more

This has come in very handy. I like that I can hang it from a drawer while I’m cooking, peeling potatoes or baking. There are 2 sizes and I got the smaller of the two but thinking of getting the bigger one too Read more

I’d honestly give it five stars if i could figure out how the freak to get the bags to stay on the sides of the freaking can. I usually get so ticked of i just leave the bag loose in the bin. Be nice too if Gald just made some bags to fit this model and sold them along with it. Searching for bags that fit is annoying af. Otherwise it sits on the far side of my counter and works just fine. No smell. The lid that opens two ways is super convenient and it’s def worth the price. Read more
